UPD: Changeseta cg_shadows "0"if you get a strange shadows (SW_Remaster.ini)
Cannot get this to work, Im running linux and running with Steam version. Installed OpenAL, performed the instructions exactly and when i use the launcher, run with proton, nothing.
I've followed the instructions exactly, but every time I use the launcher I get a Microsoft.NET error that says:
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately
COM Interlop requires ComWrapper instance registered for marshalling
The base game will open with no noticeable changes. If i click continue the error report will close and nothing else happens. If i click quit it closes the game completely.
Gog version, windows 10. AMD graphics card. I did everything according to the instructions, the game crashes at startup, it is clear that the permission configurations do not work...
The steam.exe copy to game data did fix the error issue. The main problem is with or without the amd fix. The cutscene where luke will talk to the new recuits, the scene freezes completely. The music plays and that's it. Have too close game exe from taskbar. Looks like it's a game issue and not a mod problem. Re-installed the game and still happens. Everything is fine until that cutscene. The other cutscenes are fine until that one. Does a slideshow bar across the screen and just freezes. I'll try a couple of things like turning off steam overlay. Nope. I can skip the cutscene so that works. Just hope it's the only cutscene that freezes.
I just get application load error 5:0000065434. I have copied steam exe to gamedata folder and installed openal. Slow downloaded all this for nothing it seems.
application load error 5:0000065434 on launch. Folder is excluded from Windows Defender(I don't use avast or security essentials) and I have also tried running as admin. Error seems to indicate issue of launcher not being in steam directory for executable, not sure though.
I have also attempted using the following changes to ini (;[USING RS] ;Inject RS, ;[USING EAX EMULATION]) but have not had any effect.
Any way to combine this with Jedi Academy Enhanced? https://jkhub.org/files/file/2550-jedi-academy-enhanced I just want the improved textures from this, need nothing else

Did you ever find a fix?
Edit: I just had to run as admin and the error no longer popped up.

Copy Steam.exe to GameData Folder
Not GameData/Base, but GameData
Worked for me, at least
