The Squad List mod adds an element to the soldier's HUD that displays your current squad members and information about them. Now you can see who's in your squad at the start of the match, what class they are and if they're dead. Compared to dying and looking at the Squad Respawn screen.
Instead of going to the scoreboard and searching through everyone to find out what class your friend is. You can now just look at the Squad List and it will dynamically display your member's class icon.
When one of your Squad members die. Their name will darken and an "X" will replace the class icon. With that information you can now tell when to retreat or escape combat so he/she can spawn on you.
If you've joined a group or party prior to joining the match. The members in your Squad that are also in the party will have their class icon become green. That way you can easily identify which friends you've gotten into a squad with.
