I love the amount of work you're putting in to make Battlefront feel as vintage as possible. I'm going to have to try to get download this on Windows XP.
You can still mod with EA app, you just need to change your launch options on FMM (through tools) to EA app and hit launch. Sometimes if the game doesn't launch you click launch on default EA app while FMM says "waiting for platform," and FMM will inject your mods into your BF2 launch. If it isn't working with Frosty Editor just export the mod and launch through FMM rather than editor each time you want to test the mod.
Cant believe how trash that new launcher is, I was able to figure out how to keep using my mods, but its a problem that shouldn`t have existed in the first place. Another thing, EA app has no option for transferring files from one drive to another, so i had to completely uninstall bf2 and reinstall it on my other drive. Fuckin idiots over at EA.

Then click Launch on FMM, wait for EA launcher to boot, and launch BF2. You have to do it manually but it works.
