Where do you get all these sound effects? I want to edit some in frosty editor, but can’t find any mp3 of isolated blaster sounds that I’m looking for.
Great mod overall - I’m a fan of the movie and tv show sounds. Just as a suggestion, I notice in Mandalorian season 1 the new republic xwing pilots in chapter 10 “the passenger” A280 blaster fire differs from the default. Could you update it by adding the A280 sound?
There is an issue when using the mod/s where some UI audio is missing, character audio that is tied to animations, music on startup, and animations get delayed. What Im curious is whether this is related to how the mod was created or some engine limit with audio. I dont think its the case of using too many audio mods because before this mod I used a lot and these issues never happened (I even removed all my audio mods and left only yours and the issues above occurred with a small mod list). It wasnt until I added one of these mods from this page and the issues above happened which makes me lean more towards its how the mod was created (this is no disrespect towards the mod author).
Whether this is significant or not, I haven't done enough testing to see if there are any serious issues such as crashing. Once you get into a match and get out (single-player of multiplayer), the above issues may sometimes get resolved (but it will happen randomly). Testing to figure out which causes all the above issues will take a long time. I did find that the first five I used had no issues but once I added five more, the background music was gone. Narrowing down the cause would be quite cumbersome to apply and launch Frosty over and over to see if its a particular addon or just using too of this mod's audio is the issue.
In my testing, it was the DC-17M RC that caused the background music to disappear (this was tested with five audio mods already loaded along side and with one test with none). If I get any more free time I'll try to narrow down which addons cause the other issues.
I believe the frontend will have a lot of sounds not play, but it should be fine in a match. I'm not sure why one of my files would cause the music to disappear, but you should just go use another DC17M RC mod for now. I haven't encountered missing sounds in a match and I've used around 10 to 20 of my files so I honestly don't know.
Yes, in-game seems fine from my end as-well. But there does seem to be issues happening from certain addons from your mods (issues listed above). Its hard to narrow down because I need to keep rebuilding the moddata which even with a very small modlist takes a while with Frosty Mod Manger. Two other addons that caused the missing music in the beginning was: DH-17 BF2015 and DLT-19D Custom. If I had to guess on the reason for the issues, its either how the audio was imported or possibly the audio files themselves. In my experience with modding audio in different games, some games will only accept the audio if it meets a certain criteria, such as a certain amount of audio frequency or having it in mono/stereo. I have not done any significant audio modding in Frosty Editor due to me being burned out of working with audio but I wonder if this may be one of the causes.
Its worth knowing that even using a certain combination of your addons will also cause this issue. The DL-44 Movie, DLT-19 BF2015, and the DLT-19X dont cause the missing music by themselves but if you use all three together it will cause issues. So even if I did test all the files and some did not get the issues above from using them by themselves, its possible using more than one of your addons together will cause the issues. From the test I did with the three I mentioned that causes the missing music, I tested those without any other audio addons.
Love this mod! Thank you for the time and effort put into it! One thing I notice however is that some weapons I saw showcased in the video are missing.
Hey, for some reason the sound for the DC-15 also revamps the E-11 sound as well. Is that what is suppose to happen? Also. when I apply the DC-15 Movie sound, it only changes the DC-15 A and not the DC-15 S.
I dont know why, but it doesnt work. I use Frosty and added the sound separately and applied them. They are first in the order too but the sounds wont change.
