Added a 4K retexture (separate mod, load under), which corrects the arm blue, and it also gives the helmet more gruff(dirt, grime), and it's in 4K with the help of Gigapixel. The helmet vents of this retexture look good.

I'm making an overhaul to this mod and it'll be a separate listed mod on Nexus. A lot of visual changes and fixes. I'll keep this up as the design is still great and some of you may prefer it.
Considering TFU Stormtrooper has a different belt than TFU Triton Squad, the guys at white armor dot net (including me) think it's a low poly Clone belt.
While I could give them a Stormie belt, that would require many hours of work for something I don't even prefer. Remember many modders don't get paid.
If you hop over to Deggial Nox's patreon, he has a Triton mod with the Stormie belt and the headband touching the visor if anyone likes that version. It's still good, but not my cup of tea.
I couldn't agree more. Mods shouldn't be behind a paywall whatsoever and I like giving out dev files for people to tweak. My mods are not perfect and even if they were, we're all in this for fun and everyone should have access for their own spins.
Many people have their mods on Patreon under paywall. For example Deggial Nox. I'm not law savvy, so I don't want to go on a crusade but I'm happy Nexus is cracking down.
"According to the new site rules, locking mods behind paywalls is now illegal and you should report anyone who does that."
Deggial isn't even uploading the mod to this site, therefore it's not a violation of TOS. they cannot do anything to Deggial if he hasn't broken site rules. It's also his mod, he decides if it's going to be a paid mod.
I think he moved all his mods to moddb. So... he's not even here anymore.
Anyway, there's nothing wrong with linking to patreon if you don't paywall mods, but you can't link to patreon if you do paywall mods. Nexus more or less says you have to have one or the other.
Why did you quote me? I didn't talk about anyone specifically,I was talking about all modders.
LethalSwampApe mentioned Deggial and Deggial did break the rules, otherwise he wouldn't jump ship and delete everything, what a coward.Imagine monetizing mods/locking them behind paywalls.
moderndemon, don't pretend like you know why he left. You are sooooo very wrong. If you paid even a second of attention you'd see that Deggial moved his stuff to moddb in February while the patreon post was made in April.
"Imagine monetizing mods/locking them behind paywalls." Again, wrong. Once the mods are finished, they are published on his ModDb. Patreon is a way to support him in finishing those mods, and is not the only way to get them. Stop being so bitter because he is successful. He is allowed to do what he wants with his work.
Why did he jump ship then? Some,if not most,of his mods ARE locked behind paywalls and that's the only way to get them.We all knew Nexus was about to implement/enforce this rule and he left at just the right time,so what gives? Sure,he is allowed to do what he wants with his work as long as he doesn't break any rules. Oh,I'm so bitter for pointing out the truth.
You don't need to pretend, you just need a brain and eyes to see it.It's really obvious. Not all of his "finished" mods are published and I'm not making stuff up,we knew the rule was coming. He wouldn't leave if he was in the clear.
A lot of these "beta test" "alpha test" mods are completely fully finished. I'm not knocking the artwork or modders, these mods are really well made, even if I don't personally like some of the designs, but it's very dishonest to say your functional finished mod is an "alpha version".
It's also unfair to people who got a PC, got the game, all for the mods they want to be under another paywall.
Don't bother yourself with him, he has a big ego like all of his friends from the Battlefront II modding server. All good members have left that toxic place. And I swear he has taken screenshots of our comments and he is showing them there to the other divas
I mean the only divas here is you two self-righteous clowns thinking that someone trying to earn money for the effort they put into their work is somehow evil.
Don't like it? Don't support the modder. Simple as that. Cope.
I mean, if you want to be technical paid mods might actually be illegal depending on the context since when you really think about it it's someone profiting off of an IP they have no authority over, as well as a game they do not have any right to.
For instance, if I made a mod adding, I dunno Ahsoka to the game but locked it behind a paywall technically speaking I am attempting to profit off of a character I don't actually own. Even if I made the models and everything myself, I still don't own the character those assets portray, that being Ahsoka Tano.
So while I won't personally go out of my way to stop anyone from doing so, I say be a bit cautious with paywalling mods for this reason. It's one thing to have a mod and a donation link it's another to actively lock it behind a paywall where the argument could be made you are charging people money for and thus selling it.
Like in all honesty, the only thing probably keeping the paid battlefront mods from being taken down is simply Disney not knowing they exist. If they somehow learned of this you could bet your ass they'd be removed in a heartbeat.
After having seen your post on deviant art, you were right. The belt is supposed to be like you've done. I prefer your armor body now. The other mod is not worth after all. The only thing I can tell you that can be fixed if you think it is necessary is to let the blue marking to reach the end of the back of the helmet. There is no white space contrary to the phase 2
I left the space because of the Phase 2 in RotS. A lot of Star Wars media, like vanilla Battlefront 2, puts the stripe all the way down. So I just made the assumption that if the troopers were ever in the movies, they would have that space in the back.
However I will admit that there really shouldn't be any leg stripes, but I like them so I won't remove those.
What I may change is the arm stripes. I got it wrong. I put them on the side/bottom instead of the top. Also I should add those grunge "piss stains" on the helmet for extra RotS vibes.
True, this is what I thought. I agree for the arm stripes, the other mod didn't even add them. I also prefer your 501st light blue like the movie 501st blue mod I'm also using for the republic.
Sad for the leg stripes but I will get used to them. I know about the dev files but I already tried like 4 times to mod BFII and I've always become crazy. I'd rather stick to my rts SW mod. (That will also include the Triton troopers when the model will be done)
I forgot how much. His current price is 20 bucks for all his stuff and I think that's the tier I bought a year ago.
I do not condone paywall mods. And to be honest Deggial's Triton mod was awful. Should never have bought it. However my mod has motivated him to redo his mod completely and his new design is a major improvement, though I still consider mine superior.
I think your helmet combined on his body armor like what you've done on deviant art is good. I see that your mod gave him the impulse to rework his LOL
The only thing I really modeled was the shoulders. Rest were existing assets that I painfully textured, cut out, rigged, imported, heaped, etc. I got the helmet from DetlaReynolds on white armor dot net, who had Skylu3D make this specific helmet. Glad you enjoy the mod! I wouldn't say it's perfect but (no hate) I think it's better than Deggial Nox's patreon locked version.
The issue is with the normal map as it has no detail for the helmet(sense all the detail is in mesh form), the AOSL is fine. Helmet doesn't have any wear and tear on the CS. Body normal textures are a bit bumpy as well. Though I did admit the textures aren't perfect, you don't really notice in game and I was too lazy to go the extra inch. Hopefully the dev files get out of the "sussy files blocked" phase so y'all can tweak it.
Yeah I'll be fixing the pauldron today. I pushed this mod out a bit too early. Some issues with the Rocket Trooper and Armored Officers as well. I am considering a shiny version as well.

I'm a modder myself for an other game, and it is my favorite hobby

Insulting others won't get you far ;)

You are right Cirithounet, these divas are vile individuals.

Oh,did you get suspended? L
Selling blatantly finished mods as "unfinished" on purpose is evil indeed.

So yeah, be very cautious I'd say.

I have no plans at the moment to do that, but the entire dev file is available to download for you to do anything you want.
