Does it affect third person? Or does it only appear in first person?

unfortunately itll affect both. But you can however simply toggle reshade on/off which just needs to be assigned a hotkey in the settings.

"Just click and drag over you installation folder and be sure to have ReShade installed already"
    2. "the instructions are pretty bare bones" means the instructions given are limited, and therefore is difficult for me to fully understand what to do. id prefer and appreciate proper step by step instructions on how to do what i need to in order to install this mod. i did "Just click and drag over you installation folder and be sure to have ReShade installed already" but i mustve done something wrong, because it did not work.

You have ReShade installed right? Do that first if not. When you download this you'll see a folder in it called "STAR WARS Battlefront II" simply merge that folder with your game folder which also will be called "STAR WARS Battlefront II" then in game hit whatever hotkey you have assigned for ReShade (The default key is Home) this will bring up a blue and black menu. In the top left of the Reshade menu click the drop down and "Clone Visor" will be in the list then select it. It'll be applied to your game. I guess if you haven't used reshade before it would seem confusing with my other basic instructions my bad but this should be enough.

Would you happen to know how I can adjust it to fit my resolution (3440x1440)? As it is it only takes up a small portion of the center of the screen.

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out! For anyone wondering, you can adjust the resolution size using reshade to fit to widescreen.
