does this conflict with zatmospheric lighting? and im trying to make my game as close as possible to the show. Do you know any textures, reshade, lighting mods that help with that, thanks
It does NOT conflict with the zat lighting mod in fact I used to use it with my old version. I currently use battlefront 2022 shader mod and personally, it looks great! I would recommend you give that one a try
Did some snooping, apparently the TL-50 both the normal and Iden's use "FX_BlasterBolt_DLT19" for some reason, so there ISN'T a unique effect for the TL-50 apparently, besides the alt firing mode.
Huh. That's interesting. I checked dlt19 files when I was working on it and it didn't say anything about the tl 50. I also edited those files for the mod and as you can see, nothing changed. I'll revisit again after work today and see if I can't get it to work. Thank you!
Yeah if you use the references tab to do some looking around for whatever reason that's the FX file it links to. I've also seen people modify the TL-50's projectile before so, it has to be possible.
If nothing else you COULD possibly point it to just use a different FX file if all else fails, though that might not be ideal.
The path is "Gameplay>Equipment>Shared>Projectiles" and in there you'll find two files named "BlasterProjectile_HeavyBlaster_TL50" "BlasterProjectile_HeavyBlaster_TL50_Iden" and at the bottom it lists the projectile FX they use. Might be of help to you.
i really do appreciate that alot. sadly i lost all my files and progress so if i ever wanted to update or change this id have to start over from scratch and itll take months to fix. Im hoping this version continues to work and never breaks. Im glad people like it this much.

Not entirely sure what you mean by that but i have changed everything. color of the bolt shape and all. only thing i didnt change was the speed or hitbox that way my mod stays multiplayer compatible
What I mean is do the blaster bolts emit light sources when fired or when the bolt is traveling to its target after being fired from the weapon it came out of? Bryce's Filmic Firefights as an example does this kind of. His screenshots speak for themselves on the SFX.
yeah so he made his 500% brighter i only made mine like 50% brighter. cuz after rewatching the show i noticed that the glow and light from the bullets arent very high. The stock game looked fine but i amplified it a small bit. A good example is the ending of my youtube video which shows a better visual of the lighting on surfaces
Some lighting doesn't show from the blasters. Tested this on the DC-15A for assault where some shots do not seem illuminate surfaces and the flash pistol does not seem to illuminate surfaces at all.
Thats really strange. For me there is glow on surfaces during my shootouts i even tested it myself. I'll look into that. And i'll make a separate file. because in the show the bullets provide little to no glow on surfaces they are just bullets. So i'll keep one like the show and if you want a surface glow ill increase the surface glow a lot for you

sorry on the late response man i actually had an incident and lost all progress on my mod. deleted and gone. meaning i need to restart from scratch so its gonna take a while. however i plan on getting it fixed and possibly making it better than ever so look forward to a fix/revival in the future
Good news i have perfected the mod and will have the release out sometime tonight. took a lot of work hopefully everyone enjoys it. im updating pictures and ill have a youtube video showcase up shortly as well.
That's weird. What mods are you using and are any of them out of date? That usually happens if mods are no longer compatible. Also try setting this one at the top of the load order.
I believe that there lies the problem. The converting of mod managers caused an issue with some mods. certain mods arent compatible with certain mod manager versions. id say delete your current manager and install the newest one fresh then add all your mods again to avoid confusion
unfortunately due to recent events i lost any and all progress on my mod and need to restart from scratch but once its fixed ill have updated pictures and hopefully even better blasterfire visually
