Go on the EA Launcher and click on Star Wars Battlefront 2 on the games list, from there you can click manage, repair, and the game should revert to normal. Do you know which preset file you used?
Update , I tried the method u said in "Bugs" category , I put the file in data and tried open the game with FrostyModManager and it worked , im not sure if the mod works fine but the game opened and works
Interesting, thought it was something completely different. Try the extreme preset as you can visually see the main menu being darker and lmk if it works. Anyone else whose game doesn't launch try opening the game with FrostyModManager first and if it works after please reply here
I just discovered something weird , after that I tried opening the game without FrostyModManager and it works and opens normally with the file , im so confused to be honest... I'm gonna try the Extreme preset now and in the end I might just keep opening the game with FrostyModManager I guess ?
My main menu is darker with the extreme preset so I guess the mod works , fine , imma just keep using frostymodmanager cause i dont trust the game opening normally now cause it used to not work and now it does and I guess running it with frostymodmanager once helps the mod works somehow
Yes, there is an option to enable it although I am unsure if it actually does anything on PC (it's meant for a ps4 pro). In case it does, I have left it unchecked in the ultimate settings section (for mod version 1.5). All you need to do is open one of the preset files with a hex editor, search for "#WorldRender.FrameSynthesisMode Checkerboard", and remove the # to activate it.
Yes unfortunately both presets do as it's costly towards fps - but if you want to add it back in simply follow these steps: 1. Download any of the preset files 2. Open the desired preset file in a hex editor (for ex HxD Editor) 3. Search for "Balanced Settings" 4. In the balanced settings category scroll down until you see "WorldRender.TubeLightsEnable 0" 5. Simply change the 0 to a 1 and save the file After that, the lightsaber glow will return
How do I get rid of the mod? Do I just go to the data folder and delete the file? Bc it's been crashing my game for a while game now and it's just annoying atp.
On the EA app click on Star Wars Battlefront 2 in your installed games on the left, then when the game page loads click the "Manage" button and then click "Repair". I'll add in a default file for the next update
