Yes, there is an option to enable it although I am unsure if it actually does anything on PC (it's meant for a ps4 pro). In case it does, I have left it unchecked in the ultimate settings section (for mod version 1.5). All you need to do is open one of the preset files with a hex editor, search for "#WorldRender.FrameSynthesisMode Checkerboard", and remove the # to activate it.
Yes unfortunately both presets do as it's costly towards fps - but if you want to add it back in simply follow these steps: 1. Download any of the preset files 2. Open the desired preset file in a hex editor (for ex HxD Editor) 3. Search for "Balanced Settings" 4. In the balanced settings category scroll down until you see "WorldRender.TubeLightsEnable 0" 5. Simply change the 0 to a 1 and save the file After that, the lightsaber glow will return
How do I get rid of the mod? Do I just go to the data folder and delete the file? Bc it's been crashing my game for a while game now and it's just annoying atp.
On the EA app click on Star Wars Battlefront 2 in your installed games on the left, then when the game page loads click the "Manage" button and then click "Repair". I'll add in a default file for the next update

Might be a dumb question but would this conflict with one of the better inifts mods that help the game load more stuff/stops the invisibility glitches?
Should work just fine with the plugin! Even if it doesn't, this mod already has the same fix for the invisibility glitches built-in as well - just a few lines that increase the memory limit for textures and meshes
I am having the same problem that @Stefann00 mentioned, can't start the game after the mod install and replacing the file under data- while launching the game on steam. Will just verify integrity of game files and replace it that way, and try again at a later date. Thank you for the MOD and your work nonetheless! :)
Make sure the name of the new file is exactly initfs_Win32. As long as you click and drag the balanced or extreme file from the preset folder inside the zip file into the game's Data folder it should work fine
The preset file replaces my original file , so it should be good ? But it doesn't start with either of the presets... Also thank u so much for answering so fast I appreciate it so much
Strange, works fine for me. I'd say try repairing the game via ea app and trying again and if it still doesn't work let me know, I'm currently working on a video tutorial for it but it seems ur doing everything right. Also let me know if the original 1.0 version works for you too
I'm having the same issue. Doesn't start when i replace the files. i double checked the file names and everything. I'm playing on the steam version btw. I also tried the 1.0 version and that doesn't work either.
a tutorial would be great my friend plays on a laptop and hes strugling to pull enough frames, do you have any idea as to when youll post the tutorial??
Interesting, are all of you in this thread using the steam version? I am using the EA App/Origin version of the game which I know works, but this could be why?
I am using the Origin version , I own the game on Epic Games and it starts my game from Origin and also my game is installed in the Origin app . Also I wanna mention which I think it's right but yeah I might be wrong maybe y'all know better . Isn't Steam/Epic Games "version" of the game same thing as Origin ? Like basically you just open the game from those launchers but then it opens Origin and runs the game from there ? ( This is how it is for Epic Games and im pretty sure its like that for Steam , right ? )
I'm going to download the epic games version and give it a try there and I will update you all if it didn't work there. In the meantime, especially the ones on steam, could you add my discord (lucapook) and send me the initfs_Win32 file you have there?
Hello all, please be sure to download the newest version - 1.3. I can confirm this one works on both Epic Games Launcher and EA App for my system, but please confirm to me that it works for you all now. I am not sure if it works for Steam too but give it a shot and let me know
Alright , I will try it later when Im home , thank u so much for the effort man . It's still weird that if u own the game on steam or epic they act diff even though they both are start from origin and the game itself is installed in origin , but good that u found a solution in the end
Update: Try stefann00's solution for those of you who are still having issues launching the game - launch the game with Frosty Mod Manager at least once and see if the game will accept the preset file now.
