This preset is amazing and makes my game look gorgeous! However, I have noticed that during the 25c Starfleet tutorial that the Borg tractor beam that captures your ship at the end doesn't appear during the cutscene and I'm wondering if the Demorecord preset is conflicting with any in-game settings?
Edit: Turns out it's just STO in general, I turned off reshade briefly and it still didn't show, so it's just the game in general
I was wondering what are the settings that you used for the Star Trek Online Disco/Picard FX reshade to be like the ones in the pictures because they look amazing.
I dunno if i did anything wrong, or I'm just not seeing something obvious, but my game doesn't look nearly similar to the photos. I'm not sure how I send photos. When I go into the home menu I see; HDR, AMD Contrast, Vibrance, and Levels and that's it, am I maybe missing something?
First off, absolutely love how this works. Amazing job recreating Disco/Picard's look. With Strange New Worlds S2 out, I tried downloading the recommended version of ReShade and using the .ini I downloaded from here, but, nearly all the shaders in the video are missing. So I tried updating to the newest version of ReShade and they still are missing. I can't seem to get it to work now, so I'm going to try manually recreating SNW's look, but, I'm very new to ReShade. Does anyone have a list of shaders and their settings I can copy since I can't get the .ini to work?
Same here, find a fix at all? I have a bunch of things coming up as "failed to compile". From what I've read in the other posts this isn't rare but people seem to only have one or two of these errors and I'm getting 10 of them.
So I know this preset has nothing to do with my issue but for all of you that have successfully implemented ReShade for STO... HOW.. Help? ReShade crashes my STO every time. I have tried DX9, DX 10/11/12. I have tried windowed and full screen. I have tried launching STO in it's safe mode option. Crash. Crash. Crash. Yes I installed ReShade in the proper folder tied to the proper exe.
This seems to happen to a lot of people. Go into the sto launcher then select options from the top and check the full screen option then launch. This should now run. You can take it out of of full screen once you have set your resolution. Once done it should launch everytime
Already tried that. Both from the launcher and from in-game. Now I do launch from the ARC launcher and not Steam. And I am hearing that most people with issues are all people launching from the ARC launcher. So I could just be screwed.
I've also noticed a few people with Arc struggle to get this working. You can always watch McStu's video he covered using Reshade with STO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z33YHXBhZc
He's also using it with Arc and has managed to get it running too.
I also struggled with that and found a solution but not sure what did it in the end. Firstly, I noticed STO folders are read only, so I unckecked that in each folder that leads to x64 one with the .exe. Then I downloaded the current Reshade version and when it asks what preset to install, I copied the .inis from this mod into the x64 folder and pointed the installation to the demo one and let it install. Once done, I hit close and started the Reshade install again and did the same with the other preset. I dunno if it is because older Reshade did not have the option to follow shaders preset had in them or was it the read-only so try both :P .
I can confirm forcing it to run in full screen mode fixed the problem for me; I also have an ultrawide monitor. Setting it to windowed afterwards worked a treat.
EDIT: But it crashes whenever it loads into a new map for the first time. The fix is to keep it in fullscreen mode.
I'm getting screen flickering when doing ground missions, all the areas are flickering in and out (can see other rooms through the wall). Latest driver update. Not sure what else to try
I'm not sure if these options are part of this reshade, but GreatSpread.fx and HotsamplingHelper.fx show as failed to compile. Just wanted to be sure these aren't used by this reshade so I don't need to worry if I've done something wrong with it.
Hey Thewallis84, thank you so much for making these presets available. Got a stupid question for you. Is it possible to have a "default" preset that basically turns off the reshade for when I want the game to look vanilla? If that's an option, I can't seem to find it.
Thanks so much sir, and your totally welcome. There is a trick to it yeah. If you click the little + icon top right of the reshade menu and click the duplicate pre set tab, you can name it Default or something similar, it will duplicate the pre set you have selected and then you just need to uncheck all the shaders and save. You then have a vanilla/default pre set.
