Hey! I appreciate all of the feedback left in these comments. Federal Unit Manager has been updated to v2.0r. With these QoL new features, FUM now supports both new and old version of Terran Command without needing constant updates.
Thanks for the interest! Now you can go to Gehenna with Federal Unit Manager. :) Go try it out!
Hi, does it matter if game is GOG or Steam? I am talking about tactical pause. That is only thing that I was truly excited about, but sadly it does not work for me :(
Tactical Pause in Hooker Bug is currently broken as of the latest update. I wanted to update it but unfortunately my computer recently broke and it made doing so impossible at the moment, I am sorry. As soon as I can save up enough and fix it, I'll definitely be updating Tactical Pause.
It doesn't work. There is no Guide button and no button in general when running the manager. When adding the path manually it says the exe is not found. Shame. I really wanted the no tracers mod.
Sadly I cannot look into it right now because my computer has broken. When I get a new one the first thing I'll be doing is looking into my Terran Command tools.
Make sure you downloaded the correct 2.0r version. When it asks you to point to the correct path, please do so. Finally, this application was tested on Windows 10. Not 11. Again, FUM should still be working with this version.
Firstly, thanks for creating this editor. I came across it as I was frustrated with the scorpion bugs, and the ability to effectively rebalance them to my preferences has been a godsend. A question though - does the use of this disable in-game challenges/achievements? They seem to have stopped popping for me since using it, which is a shame as they add a lot more depth to the game for me personally. I can see there is an "Achievements" section at the bottom of the editor, but it always seems to be disabled and I can't tell what function it's suppose to serve exactly.
I appreciate your feedback, thanks! Unfortunately, yes. If any core files are modified, it'll stop tracking them. :/ It REALLY stinks because I CANNOT play the game without Corpses Stay patch, personally. (I wish this specific mod didn't trigger the Achievement locking) What I did was just quickly get all of the Achievements so I can play the way I want and not feel I am missing out on progress. Hooker Bug, however, does NOT affect achievements and you can use Hooker Bug without Achievements detecting it.
Achievements Section Achievements was a huge innovative feature Federal Unit Manager (And Hooker Bug) utilized however a specific update broke that feature and although I could update it, I chose not to because the demand for it wasn't high and it takes SO much engineering and work for something that isn't really in a lot of peoples' interest. What it did was allow players to create Achievements and track them for custom scenarios. You would download a Custom Scenario from a user, and if they have created Achievements for their scenario, you can see them and track them in that menu. (It'll even pop up in-game as an actual notification once it's obtained.) You can see a video of this in action here at the end it pops up at the top left: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF9Z2mEBl7o
You can also see it in action in LionStein's tutorial video here at 12:07: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF9Z2mEBl7o
When gaining Achievements, it unlocked "Points" which you use to purchase things in that specific scenario. (And Federal Unit Manager reconstructs the scenario to accommodate that) Currently one ONLY Scenario, my custom scenario, uses Achievements. (About 42 of them or so) That scenario has unlockables such as "Unlock Powersuit Trooper", "Unlock upgraded weapon", "Unlock minigame", etc. And some of them even had a requirements of getting a specific achievement before it could be purchased with the points. Then when you run the scenario (Don't even need to restart the game) the affects will have taken place. So that's what the "Achievement" section was for. It allows players to build custom scenarios ad trackable achievements and unlockables for those achievements. Like I said, the demand just wasn't there.
If you're interested, you can find my gameplay videos of that scenario on my Youtube Channel. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1202130/discussions/0/3809529155524378807/ There's the link to information on seeing it. :) (It has 10 endings) The Achievements I have disabled for the gameplay videos, though. (They aren't disabled, I just have them all is why they didn't pop up in any recordings)
didn't take long for some upstanding citizen like yourself to create a mod manager for the game. Cheers mate! perhaps they'll integrate some/all of this into vortex soon
Earlier today I confirmed it is not working for the recent update. (I JUST updated it for the Urban Onslaught DLC, too. LOL) I've queued an update and will be releasing it soon. :) I recommend you join my Discord server or follow my Patreon. All of my news are in one of those two locations to keep you updated.
Federal Unit Manager is built with Windows 10. If you're on Windows 11, it has not been tested and I don't have any ways to fix bugs if you're using this application, sadly. For Windows 10, recently people have been reporting the application setting their antivirus even though I haven't made any changes or updated the application. This is a false positive, I assure you. (Even NexusMods have manually checked it)
If you would like to take the steps in letting FUM through your antivirus, just remember DO NOT turn your antivirus completely! You can make an exception for FUM specifically.

Works pretty well, the description for each setting is very useful too, though I have encountered a small issue, wherein a "federation" team unit will be hostile to both NPC and Player Federal troops. They are also hostile to bugs too, though. And, I also have the "unit_<ID>" name thing, unsure if that is normal or not.
I know I'm super late and I apologize. If we're talking about the Triggers, the format is spawn unit teamid count
Unit must be in lowercase letters and must only be the "name" parameter. Teamid are integers that represent the various teams. (The colors of the editor. 1-9 I believe.) Count is how many of that group. Example: spawn rifle_squad 2 1
Rifle_Squad must be in lower case. As you have mentioned, the first parameters after the name is the affiliation. "TeamID". Check out the Guide section and go to "Game Commands" Has some interesting information. :)
