I explain my current situation, I know that many people want this mod to be great, I also want it, but there are 3 problems:
1º The mod was broken, very broken, to the point that the community in the official forums literally broke my head explaining things to me just to fix 3 inherited errors and I thank them very much, one of the bugs caused the game to explode
2º I currently have unstable health problems that change my mood from one day to the next, that makes it impossible for me to spend hours in front of the monitor studying or editing numbers, etc.
3º The mod would have to be remade from scratch with the latest version of the game, which I have no knowledge of for that and I also lost the key to the game, right now I have no money to get it again.
That's only 3 reasons why I haven't updated the mod, right now I think it's functional, if I were to edit it without knowing what I could damage it could make it more useless and unusable, you don't know about the errors I found just by opening a file , it works like a miracle but it works, my goal was for said mod to be a replacement, you ask me to be an addition too, there is a problem with that, my goal is and was to add all the Homeworld factions from 1 to 3 that will just come out , that means that putting those ships will erase those of the base game from the universe, that cannot be balanced [removing the fighters that are broken because of the original creator] the large ships are designed for their purpose in the lore where they come from , that means that the kajuuk laser must go through shields and break ships [I know that in the RPG game it is not the case due to the issue of "arcade" balance and how the engine it uses works] but in the lore and in a game of simulation how is this, is e He indicated to demonstrate his power that he should not change his mind on these issues, as I said before, the fighters are broken, but not because of me, but because whoever abandoned the mod, only tweaked the large ships, the small ones are complex and not I wanted to touch them and yes, I noticed this, when I put a real hangar limit and saw how the fighters without doing anything annihilated a universe by themselves.This has also made me put projects for X4 on hold and I only do basic things, like translations, an adjustment here or there, for example in F4, etc, but complex things that I have to study or spend the whole day is currently impossible for me.
Perhaps. An while this is simply a suggestion. Couldn't you simply work this mod as an addon to the existing game, an bring the assets into line with the main content. While I understand you are endeavoring towards a full conversion mod sort of process once you have the other faction assets worked out, then make the full conversion variation?
I do love the Homeworld ship designs, would be nice to have them as options in the normal game, without them being overpowered vs the normal game. I haven't used them yet, it's just my thoughts.
As I said in a comment above, and I add to your answer, I would like to continue working on it but it is impossible for me right now, to get to do that I would need help, the original creator who abandoned it left it incredibly broken and the only way to that it will work is in the state it is in right now
It looks its been a while since last updated, but I have to say by just looking at the images and your concern for the original work as well as trying to fix it. I think you're doing a great job. I hope to see more in the future if you're still working on it.
I'm glad to hear that, but unfortunately I lost my game key and due to health problems I've put off some mods, that includes X4 mods too which are incredibly complex, fixing this mod was my destiny but destiny told me to stop, it's a mod that the original creator left very broken and I tried to fix it as best I could, after that things started to come together
yes, I think that from there the one who created the mod took the main textures and then abandoned, I just picked up the corpse and added a ship and fixed things
You were right to say this mod is unbalanced as hell. Just by using the solo battleship you can get at the start I been soloing every single station and its defense fleet by myself.
This mod isn't one to use if you aren't going a "me vs every last thing on the map "run.
The objective of the mod is to be balanced with the mod itself, but it is difficult to add things since when I picked it up from the trash it was and is very broken, it has errors everywhere
The Sajuuk and the Sajuuk Lemon Khar crash my game if they're ever on the campaign map or if I look at their description. Is there a fix for this or should I just uninstall and wait for an update?
