Upon reading the patch notes for the Starfield Update 1.10.31, and seeing that Bethesda was finally adding in a much needed ship FOV...I got excited. The less mods I use = the less problems may occur. That and there's no point in using a mod if a vanilla feature can do the same thing, right? Redundancy bad! Lol.
Anyhoo, for a while now I've only been using the part of this mod (Starfield FOV) that touches ship FOV, since a while back the vanilla first/third person views were improved, and are okay to now use un-modded. So, I uninstalled this mod's Ship FOV, and tried out the new vanilla FOV...........it's still crap.
The vanilla ship FOV still maintains a very close camera distance, even at the maximum FOV setting of 110. Furthermore, the vanilla min/max FOV makes the image look distorted and stretched out, which I can imagine might give some people motion-sickness, or headaches with prolonged game sessions.
This mod's Ship FOV is by far, still superior. It actually moves the camera position out, instead of just stretching/distorting the field of view, so you don't get the warped/stretched, wide-angled-looking image like in the vanilla FOV.
'Starfield FOV' mod is still a huge W, while the new vanilla FOV is a big L. *shakes my head at Bethesda*

After the latest patch this method of setting the FOV in the StarfieldCustom.ini file does not work anymore.
But, you can set it in game with console commands. Open Console with Tilde key then enter (or Copy paste)
SetINISetting “fFPWorldFOV:Camera” “x”
But Change x to your desired FOV.
For third person use SetINISetting “fTPWorldFOV:Camera” “x”
You will need to do this each startup but you can press Up key in console to see last console command then press enter.
This method helps for people who need Higher or Lower FOV than the slider can provide, as well as for fractions of a degree of FOV eg: 64.70
Most screens only take up 60-70 degrees of your actual peripheral FOV. Anything higher is peephole vision. You can find FOV calculators online for the size of your monitor and its distance from you to get an idea of what FOV you should be using.
Can you update the MOD replacement for the official FOV, the official FOV update today sucks , the first person model is scaling together sorry i use translate app Your mod is much better than the official one

this will set the ship fov to 90 and move the camera back a tiny amount.
if you want a different FOV, edit the ShipFOV.txt

thanks for the detailed comparison!!
(Note: Since Bethesda added an actual FOV option to vanilla in one of their past updates, I still use this mainly for the 'Ship FOV' ♥.)
EDIT: Good to go, with 1.9.71. ♥
