just noticed, the water pond on the commercial district lower level (from the elevator past the SSNN building entrance...or from right behind the NAT station train (the other side)) is still alge filled. Did you leave that there for comparison, maybe that 1 pool shows what it was?
According to one of my companions New Atlantis is powered by advanced hydro electricity , I guess it's so advanced it's invisible . I jumped off the waterfall and didn't see any turbines or the pump that sends the water back up ? And water purifies itself when in motion , so swamp water is impossible unless it's sitting still for awhile at least .
I installed the option JemisonSuperClearWater stand alone with vortex and put the *JemisonSuperClearWater.esm in my plugins.txt. in game i see the esm active in my load order, but nothing happen. the water looks like before. any ideas?
The thing that bothered me is that, it's a city. It has no sea ports, flying cars, no speed boats or any aquatic vehicles, a stationary train that will only run until you use it. While I will recognize it is in overlooking a lake, it should be close to a major ocean.
Why would it need a seaport or need to border an ocean? All its import-export traffic is done via spaceship.
This mod would help if someone wanted to add pleasure craft to the lake, though. Which would be an awesome thing for someone to do with the Creation Kit. And it makes it more believable that the lake can be used as a fresh water source without having to worry about filtering out an excessive amount of alien hoobajoobs.
Oh, and incidentally, the train is a PRT, and is eminently practical.
Agreed. I love lore-sense mods like this. A few centuries and New Atlantis is as ineffective to surrounding areas as a hut village and smaller than a mall with little life except for the hideously rinse repeat NPCs. With a name like NA, I'm hoping modders who've blessed us in the past bring great ideas to make NA and other major cities (including - hopefully - surrounding roads, towns/villages, and suburbs) more lore immersive vs me requiring coping fanboy redditor head canon to barely tolerate it, after I got out of that mindset myself.
the one time i stopped and thought about it, i then wrote it off thinking maybe it was because that was how the planet produced its oxygen. iirc algae scrubbers are some of the most efficient at taking the c out of co2.
