Choose random on the drop down list for all mods, this mod popped up on the first page. Happy that it did :) This adds a little extra immersion that I didn't realize I was missing :) Kudos :)
Are you using a weapon that has shells? There are caseless weapons in the game that don't eject shells. Other than that, I have no clue why it wouldn't be working for you.
Just standing in that hallway of the pic, with all 750 out, i didnt notice any difference tbh. I have a 4070ti and 32gb of ram tho so your experience might be different.
I built my PC a little over 4 years ago, and due to moving overseas I had limited options on components. So right now I'm only running a 4GB vid card with 16GB RAM. My settings are reduced, mostly around the medium range, and with my latest configuration and settings I can get a decent frame rate most of the time. There are sometimes issues where lag hits and I need to restart the game to fix it, most likely due to low memory.
I'll install this soon and give it a try, then provide feedback in case it'll help others decide if it's viable on lower- or mid-tier rigs.
Working fine on 1.11.36, no noticeable lag/stutter/etc. I haven't made a huge pile of casings/links yet, but so far I haven't had any negative performance impact even on my mid-tier system.
What I did notice is that half my weapons end up using caseless ammunition, so only a few of my weapons will be able to take advantage of this mod. But at least I'll see the piles/trails where the NPC were firing from.
And as a side-note to anyone trying to use this mod and thinking it's not working properly, ensure the weapon you are using actually uses ammunition that ejects a case or link. My Kodama and Drum Beat for example are caseless, while my 2311 and Microgun have cases or links ejected.
