Initial release built with the new Creation Kit. This mod was also included in the Bethesda.net Creations launch (for free) on both Xbox and PC for those who don't want to use Nexus or mod managers.
As the game now officially supports mods - there are no other dependencies.
Regarding free mods vs paid Creations - I know this can be a sore topic for some, often with good reason given the state of the gaming industry as a whole. I'd like to clarify a few things if it helps...
"Simple Dynamic Boostpacks" makes simple changes to EXISTING Boostpack types - increasing their boost type they are intended to be used for, in certain scenarios - keeping them in-line with vanilla.
"Deluxe Dynamic Boostpacks" adds separate, EXTRA / NEW types of Boostpack modules to the game that can be crafted and attached to any Boostpack/Starborn armor - with additional features that you can earn/craft/unlock that are hopefully fun/useful. The upgraded versions can boost a bit further outside cities, thrust downwards, hover longer outside cities, etc.
The intention for creating both versions was that no-one had to miss out entirely, and anyone could try out some similar features and be as informed as possible before purchasing anything. I've also made detailed videos for both to try and show their features and both versions add features alongside each other.
I'd also like to remind everyone that all Verified Creators have previously, and will continue to publish free mods. I have released and maintained 7 free mods for Starfield alone (more on the way), and also helped some Verified Creators import and update their original xEdit mods into Creation Kit (not as easy as you may think) so that they could continue their work and make them available to Xbox users for free.
I will always welcome constructive discussions, and suggestions / feedback on how to do things better - I am especially interested to hear people's thoughts on "lite" / sample mods for some kind of try-before-you-buy mechanic.
I didn't pay attention to the uninstall guide and end up broke the boostpacks in general. Even the basic one jumps so high that when I land my man injures himself. Then decided to use the mod but it is still the same. When I use jump then alt key, character moves so much horizontally that I did not like it. Can I do something to revert it like make changes to .ini files? Premod save is so dated (like 24h of playtime) so I don't want to lose all that progress.
1. Get your character naked - remove / un-equip all armor, weapons, and clothing 2. type these commands into the console: player.setav BoostpackThrustInitial 0 player.setav BoostpackHorizontalPercentage 0 3. Equip a Boostpack and see if it is fixed. 4. Let me know if it worked for you 5. Please read the install and un-install notes for any mod you install in any game before use
The only fix is to go through the Unity which restores all console cheats; same with the "deluxe" version. You can use "coc MQUnity" in console to start the Unity and begin NG+
I don't understand how there is no bug reports on this , between youtube , discords , reddit and nexus there are at least three dozen complaints of xbox users with these issues that completely bricked their game. I'm never this aggressive online , always respectful and this modder has other great stuff ... free ... but I have not found one acknowledgement of an issue, a workaround, or an I admit it , unforseen bug that can destroy a save - and he has commented more recently on people giving kudos. So frustrated ... I literally bought the xbox for this game (which is sadly mid) but looked forward to mods and dlc's to really launch this great sandbox of a game. Bethesda botched that too as creations was totally plugged, causes crashes, no audio bugs and made everyone jump thru hoops to get it right. Now ... I can't play because of a paid mod ... aghhh .. OK I'm done . I needed to wail somewhere ... I'm sorry
An addendum to this advice: Using setav did not work for me. For example, even after using setav, my character was still showing 375 for BoostpackThrustInitial and 0.90 for BoostpackHorizontalPercentage while naked. I used getav to confirm that these values were unchanged. However, I did have success when using forceav instead of setav while naked to force these actor values to 0. I also had to add a few actor values to the list.
This is what I did... player.unequipall; player.forceav BoostpackThrustInitial 0; player.forceav BoostpackHorizontalPercentage 0; player.forceav BoostpackDrainInitial 0; player.forceav BoostpackDrainSustained 0; Hopefully this helps others.
Yeah, sadly I started having this problem with the mod installed. removed it properly and still have the problem, and none of these solutions are working.
I'm not an expert by any means but I used these instuctions to fix mine ages ago. Think I found them on a forum post. Your welcome to try and reset your charactors Jetpack stats using these commands but DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK! I WOULD RECOMMEND MAKING A SAVE BEFORE TRYING THIS:
TRY THESE FIRST AND CHECK YOUR CUIRRENT SETTING AGAINST THE BELOW DEFAULT SETTINGS
default jetpack settings, WITH 4 PERKS IN JETPACK TRAINING:
Such a great mod, boostpacks do feel much more unique and useful, without being overpowered either. Thank you! Endorsed!
One request : with increased vertical power on some boost versions (and especially in low gravity) it sometimes becomes hard to land without launching yourself up again (and frankly, it is sometimes a problem without the mod!) -- would be at all possible to add an "override" keybind (i.e.: Ctrl+Space?) to set boost to minimum that would allow safe landings?
The mod completely broke my game. I have the paid version from creations and anytime I boosted the game goes unresponsive. I managed to safely remove it and restore from an old save, but now all boost packs behave the same, regardless of how you mod them. Horizontal boost flings me into the air, resulting in instant death or broken limbs constantly. Tried several fixes outside of the unity. I think if you're charging for a mod, you owe it to your customers to at least perform an update on it to address the issues it's causing.
Probably caused by another mod , or if your computer is barely good enough to run the game . I have no problem and I doubt that very many others have this problem . Try using LOOT to sort your mods instead of letting creation club mess it up for you , and use Nexus instead of creation club .There isn't even 10% as much info and no comment section on creation club , it is clearly inferior to Nexus .
this mod is a big improvement , but it would be awesome if it just copied the buggy system . 1 button to boost up and 1 to boost forward , that would be better than the buggy and the boostpack as is .
For those who uninstalled their mods improperly and do not want to start a New Game+, here is an imperfect way to cover up the issue:
1. Remove the flight backpack and check if you can still fly (in my case, the answer was yes. If you cannot fly, perhaps your issue differs from mine.) 2. Use the console command setgs fJumpHeightMin 1 to adjust the jump height. 1 is the default height; tweak this value to achieve your desired height. 3. Use a backpack without flight functionality. For a backpack that comes with built-in flight, select it in the console and use the command .amod 00092D51 to configure it as a non-flight backpack.
Through this method, the flight functionality remains, but it is no longer accessible via different flight modes. P.S. This issue might stem from a backpack hidden on the back that cannot be removed. Can anyone find a better solution based on this information?
The above layout only seems to hboost forward.Try this. steam://controllerconfig/1716740/3291027407This is Multi-directional hboost (ctrl set as alt jump on keyboard). A+B on Xbox controller (x+o on ps) to trigger alt jump. Seems to be working for me so far.
If need to change alt jump key, then edit HBOOST layer in controller settings and change Left Joystick Behavior Outer Ring Command.

The fix didn't do anything. Has anyone found a solution in the meantime?

This is what I did...
player.unequipall;
player.forceav BoostpackThrustInitial 0;
player.forceav BoostpackHorizontalPercentage 0;
player.forceav BoostpackDrainInitial 0;
player.forceav BoostpackDrainSustained 0;
Hopefully this helps others.
So I guess I'm just screwed

No matter which pack I try, they're all instantly empty after one jump
NVM: I figured out you need the alt jump key bound to the LAlt key for it to work as a horizontal boost. So dumb.
Ps:这个方法来自一个玩家论坛,地址在这里星空的飞行背包可以水平冲刺…但是陶德藏了 NGA玩家社区
