Sorry for the late reply; you can just delete those. They are just screenshots so you can verify what file you're installing by just looking in the zip.
I mean, have you seen praying mantises? Are they white and black, like the original armor? Are they black or dark colors, as many other mods make the armor? No! Mantises are bright green, or bluegreen, or pink - they stand out!
I've been trying to find something to make the Mantis armor look more fabulous, and this certainly does. Thanks for sharing it!
While I love the idea of this color scheme, my OCD wont let me download it. Is there any way you would be willing to do a version where the right leg matches the pattern from the left leg? Basically have both legs start with yellow at the top and work down to the teal? Thanks in advance if your willing to do it.
The Same color Pants legs version is so satisfying, and you're being amazingly responsive to requests, so I figure it won't hurt to ask: Same color Pants Legs + No White Stripes version, maybe?
Impressive work! My favorite retex so far! Thank you! You managed to transform the ugliest suit in the game into a thing of beauty!
I hate to ask, since I can only imagine how much work would go into it, but I wonder if you could also heat-treat my favorite weapon, the magshear? That ugly, black frame would look great with some changes in line with what you did with the suit! : )
I maybe wrong, but I think you are adding an additional "starfield" directory in the main game directory. Using Vortex the mod is not working for me, but manually moving the files to "My Games/Starfield" it does work.
Thanks for the response, but it doesn't work. Instead of a new "Starfield" directory there is a "Heat Treated Mantis (loose files only)" directory in the main game directory. I think you need to write directly into the Starfield/Data directory. Or just leave it in "My Games/Starfield", of course.
That's...Odd. If you go to the file download and preview file contents, you'll see the top folder is "Data" when it was "Starfield" before. I'm not sure what is causing that.
Good news is Vortex is putting the correct files in the correct place now. Bad news is that it still does not work. I've looked at other Mantis re-skin mods, and all of them have people having the same issue. I _think_ the problem is that Starfield does not support texture mods within it's game directory. You _must_ put textures in the "My Games/Starfield" directories.
I photoshoped the cat ears and decor from Cat Helmet by Snow Is Queer (Mantis) at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) onto the helmet color map of this mod, and made a visor tint too. LoL, I didn't know what to put for the dds export settings other than its colormap, but the file size looks fine so I'm hoping it works, didnt get to the mantis in game yet.

Beautiful mod either way; thanks!

I haven't run across a Magshear yet, just a MagPulse, but I'll make one for you when I do and I'll update here linking it!

Edit: Fixed. Let me know if it doesn't work, please.
You need the StarfieldCustom.ini in the Starfield folder as well with
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
As the top line. You'll need that for every loose file mod, I believe.
