I've read a lot of past reports about how this mod is supposedly "unstable" and how the new space POIs "are permanent and don't go away."
So I tested it. I used Crossfire with only 2 other mods, the Community Patch and SKK Fast Start. And I went to a bunch of different POIs in the same system.
Can confirm the mod works fine. The new space POIs disappear when you gravjump to another system. If anyone is still experiencing the bug of POIs not disappearing, then it's most likely a conflict with another mod in your load order. Or it's a vanilla bug that's been addressed by Community Patch.
I'm playing without the community patch and still have space encounter icons that don't go away. Even tried going to Venus and sleep there for 24 hours. Icons persisted.
Wats the point in having just 2 mods installed? Stock Bethesda games suck pretty hard. I have 86 esm in my load order (seems good enough to add ton of new possibilities) anyway du_xfire.esm is loaded at position 80 after that go only patches and i do get permanent pio unfortunately. Still this mod is a must im my load order
The point was eliminating variables to guarantee that this mod is not inherently unstable. So without knowing which other potential mod or combination of mods are creating conflicts in some people's games, it is impossible for this mod author to make any fixes.
why don't you try it out? It either crashes or works. Literally 3 mins effort. As for myself, I have been enjoying both of them for an entire month without waiting for anything.
Went to a powerful hostile signal and took out the minions, then disabled and boarded "Starslayer". Made it my home ship, but I can't modify it, which means the bodies are still everywhere, and I can't take my spacesuit off.
"Ship is using too much power for engines. Reduce engine count."
I'm not real familiar with ship builder or how to fix this, I do not have Starship Engineering skill, and not sure why ship isn't build properly Can disable the dead bodies via console, but being unable to breath and taking environmental damage inside my ship is not gonna fly
Awesome mod, always in my list! I’d love to find a death alternative mod that lets you escape in a pod to the nearest planet or station when you lose a space battle (abandoning your ship and belongings).
I'm having so much fun with these hostile space encounters, almost feels like X3 back in the day. I'm not usually a requests guy, but it would be great if there were hostile M-class encounters akin to Camulus/Shroudbearer/Blattodea (complete with hostile escorts) in the future.
