Note: Don't forget to open configuration book and set your preferred FOV for the 1st/3d person view (can be found in CAMERA TWEAKS) By default mod uses 94 for both views. Installation Process
Use Vortex/MO2 or NNM manager to install the mod.
After installation complete, ensure that ESM and BSA or Scripts folder (if you chose LOOSE version during installation process) must be in steam Starfield/Data/, not in the documents or somewhere else.
Then install Plugins.txt Enabler. It is a mandatory requirement. How it works please read about it on its page.
Check StarfieldCustom.ini which can be found in Documents/My Games/Starfield for sTestFile strings, if you have those, delete them. And put another lines which you can see below.
This is an awesome mod that adds more excitement and cinematography to encounters.
Would it be possible to add a setting for locking the kill cam style to the 1st person or 3rd person view? I am playing in first person and its honestly pretty jarring to get yanked out of first person. I love it when the kill cam is the slow mo 1st person one though.
I wanted to use this so badly, but something about it triggers this reshade depth buffer bug(that I already experience) in game and cant be used effectively without ruining combat. Basically if you use any reshade filters that use the depth buffer, occasionally from various in game things(not enough to be game breaking), the depth buffer breaks and you get this insane impossible to describe, matrix code looking graphical artifacting. This only occurs if you use upscaling, but I need to for the game to be playable. With this mod, every time it triggers this happens and the only fix is to press esc 2x(resets depth buffer), which breaks the entire flow of combat. I love the mod, but I love real time global illumination reshade effects even more. It is odd because normal cinematic stuff like jumping ship or landing etc does not trigger it, so I am unsure what makes this different. Either way, i'll endorse and maybe try again one day. Apparently the reshade effect creators are looking in to a way to upscale the depth buffer just like the rest of the game so the disconnect that currently triggers this bug is no longer there.
Is your GPU an Nvidia card? If yes don't use resharde use GeForce Experience (alt F3) and apply filters. Is your pc screen a LED or OLED? Don't use reshade and use you screen option + GPU option's panel.
The only mod worth it is the one that removes the green filter. The others are just poorly performing injectors. And no two screens are the same. From screen to screen, each screen is different and configured differently depending on people's preferences. So just do your tuning and it will be much better with better performance and compatibility.
Because I'm a big modder and because I always used Reshade and ENB ect. I bought an OLED screen and now just with the smartTV + Nvidia Experience option I never use it again. Sure, that's a lot of performance and fixed issues on all my modded games. Just a advise.
it makes the game look better regardless. what you mean to say is they are not real time raytracing or path tracing like we see in RTX titles, but it is not 2d, it accounts for the depth buffer and the 3d space in front of you, just not anything off screen.
You can get Reshade GI looking fucking brilliant, I've played all the heavy RT games and they can look amazing but Reshade "RT" is still better than no RT, and it's not 2D.
my camera settings are wonky lol, can you please give me the camera numbers you use for the example videos? like the far near all that? if not i understand i just want mine to be like your example videos lol
wonky as in like in either zooms INSIDE the target or it goes from inside to pulling back out of them, or zooming way past the target, its probably just my fault for messing with the settings, ill try default
As i mentioned in the description page So as this. You can play with configuration book a bit, but default settings usually is enough. You can even fully disable cinematic killcam, and leave everything else ON, it still will be enough to make kills satisfactory, lol.
Nothing can do about this issues at the moment, without proper tools. Bethesda fully removed killcam. So this mod is at least something.
I don't know what I am doing wrong. The plugin is the highest priority, yet I can not get it to work. I never get the config book in my inventory. I have a lot of mods, so I don't know if another one is interfering. Is there a known list of mods that make this incompatible? I want to get this work.
Also, I see that the expressions in the camera say LOOKUP FAILED! but they still work. Could this mod have anything to do with it? Just asking.
Is there any plan to nominate a hotkey to back out of any killcam?
As is, I'm incredibly happy and impressed with this how this mod's implemented! I've halved the slowdown time and it feels pretty good, and doing so was really impressive coming from menu-based mods from older titles!

The link is in the add-on channel. We're not allowed to post the files, per the mod author's request.

Default settings are fine, I am playing on Default at least,
Video shows cinematic camera most of the time with 100% trigger chance.
