Ahh I see, I thought that was intentional since if you skip the main questline then you shouldn't be able to reap the rewards of recruiting them. It's a nice mod then.

I'm still running my original install with an early version of SFSE, and over 100 mods...no broken quests, no crashes, none.
Just the mods already available are better than any of the Bethesda updates...period
I'm on my 7th Life +, Level 205 today...and Heller and Lin are both crew members on my ships...
Life + starts after the battle with the Pirates at the mine...or even later depending on how you choose to start your new Life +

I won't update my Starfield until the Creation Kit comes out along with Body Slide and Outfit Studio
