Hey sorry I’ve had to come to nexus, but I’m using the creation club for Starfield mods (please don’t judge me) but every other weapon replacer of yours works perfectly but this is the only one I get graphical bugs with. The standard weapons work fine and are replaced with the red variants but the others are replaced but the textures are a complete jumble and it appears that the special weapon on the legacy has a texture bug also. I’ve tried running with just the mod and still have the issue. I hope this makes sense and gain I’m running on the Bethesda creation launcher and on Game Pass. Many thanks! You’ve made this game utterly fantastic!
yeah this seems to be a problem with archived texture files that overwrite vanilla texture files. they somehow revert back after you load a save.
I am reworking all weapon mods atm and i am close to finish the vanilla ones. we are testing things right now and so far everything is looking good. so expect an update soon which makes this and the other mods redundant.
Wow thanks for the speedy response! That’s fantastic news, much appreciated and congratulations for deciphering that absolute mess I sent on my work break 👌
may need patch with starfield extended craftable quality that mod overwrites the weapon names of this mod and all the other ones in the weapon replacer series of mods. models are still right from this mod but not the names in the inventory.
Evening Crozzbow! I downloaded this on Xbox, but the weapon damage seems to be stuck at 6, is this common? Or do I perhaps have another mod that may be getting in the way?
if you are using another weapon damage/balance mod, it will most likely conflict with this mod, yes. Try loading my mod after the other weapon mods and see if it is better.
Appreciate such a fast reply! Sorry I couldn't do that same.
I removed/disabled quite a few mods, loaded this right at the bottom, pistol remained capped at 6 damage sadly. I'm guessing no one else has had this issue? If that is the case, I'll need to figure out if some random mod is getting in the way!
So, I installed via the nexus mod manager. The icon is changed as intended, but the gun didn't change at all and it is still firing bullets. Any idea on how to fix?
So in depth what I did was. I downloaded the crimson arsenal mode via the mod manager download. Made sure that starfieldcustom.ini was properly set up at both locations ( yea its weird, when I search it in my pc there are 2 different file locations). Then I made sure that .esm was added to the plugins document. Side question: (did that last step last night to get the 1313 outfit to not be invisible) Do I need to do a new game to get the arsenal to work, now that I actually added it to the plugins document? Then after finishing the plugin document for my mod list I saved it and fired up current save. The maelstrom is still the base game gun. If I did something wrong please let me know so I can fix it. Love all the mods you made just having problems getting them all to work (mostly guns appearing invisible in inventory/ for sale). Thanks for your time.
Basically it is like this: If the weapons have the same name as before and look like before: both, esm file and the meshes & textures arent or are wrong installed. If the names did change but the weapons look the same, the meshes and textures arent installed right. If the weapons look like in the Screenshots but still have their vanilla names, the esm isnt activated or gets overwritten by another mod
Everything is working great but the balancing seems off. Automatic weapons are absolutely lethal like I don't even have chance to dive into cover. Have I missed something?
