About this mod

All combat enemies in Starfield now have size scaling, increased variation, and level with the player. Enemy types, factions, and story enemy difficulty customized by hand to offer a lore-friendly experience. Starborn will be tougher than spacers. Terrormorphs and Ashta will be tougher than shardhoppers.

Royal Arena - Leveled Enemies

Already bundled in Royal Galaxy, this is the total leveled enemies experience. Royal Arena include size-scaling, bug fixes, and aggressive enemy AI. In other words, this is a full enemy leveled list overhaul. Royal Arena is all my royal leveled enemies in one plugin.

If you have Royal Aliens, Royal Terror, Royal Unique Humans, and Royal Starborn, you already have this mod + additional features.

Due to the sheer volume of hand-tweaked features, this should be an improvement over any other leveled enemies experience currently available.

On a per-enemy-basis, size scaling, movement speed, and other details have been tweaked. Enemies that should be faster, are faster. Starborn have increased Starpower and enhanced abilities.

Enemy damage slightly buffed where appropriate, but weapons not touched. To enhance damage dealt by gun-wielding enemies, Starborn Knight - Royal Combat Overhaul (currently only bundled in Galaxy) or Royal Weapons Balance are suggested.

All mods will continue receiving standalone support. I have a workflow that makes this somewhat survivable for me. No need to swap to this plugin if using other Royal mods happily.

This package ensures reasonably challenging enemies with aggressive AI in Starfield.

All enemies include size scaling and other diversity tweaks.
All enemies level at appropriate multipliers. A spacer might be 0.8x your level, a Terrormorph 1.2x.
Bosses will be stronger than grunts.
Doubled XP from Starborn and Terrormorph kills to suit their difficulty.
3x Credit Value of Looted Animal Parts
This also includes the Royal Aliens - Hard Patch.
These are the values I felt would best make the Royal Arena experience.

A big criticism of leveled worlds is that everything feels the same to fight.

This mod aims to avert that by ensuring that factions and individual enemies within groups are unique. Enemies have different stats, body types, heights, and most importantly, speeds. Spacers are generally the weakest, with House Va'Ruun being the strongest-- outside Starborn, who now use more magic.

Terrormorphs and Ashta will be far more lethal than your average predator.

Royal Arena increases the difficulty of the game.

Please do not expect to be able to play on Very Hard from level one unless you are slow and tactical-- or evil. Civilian Outposts are still easy pickings to help you get started acquiring credits, weapons, and armor.

This is intended JUST to be a simple package of leveled enemies.

Name inspired by the amazing Skyrim Arena Encounter Zones mod. For full details, please read over the bundled mods.

For full descriptions, see bundled mods:

Royal Terror - Better Faster Stronger Terrormorphs

Royal Unique Human NPCs And Factions

Royal Starborn - Starborn Enemies and Powers Improved Scaled Diversified

Royal Aliens - Bigger Better Alien Creatures And Configurable Alien-Specific Difficulty

Boss fight tweaks:
This mod manually tweaks the difficulty of various boss fights that Bethesda had set to "medium" or lower to higher difficulties for a more satisfying experience. This does not include any changes to space.

All Patches for other Royal Mods work for Royal Arena:
Royal Factions And Encounters Patch
Royal Aliens Difficulty Configurators
Royal Starborn - Very Hard Patch

Load these patches after Royal Arena.

I will eventually consolidate everything into a "Royal Patch Hub" that makes it clear that each patch works for any version of Royal Mods.I appreciate endorsements on the other mods if you use the patches as well. It is a lot of work maintaining all these different versions, so people can't get the exact mods they want and nothing more.

Specifically, Royal Arena does not include From Royal Galaxy:
Increased Enemy Spawns
Tweaked Enemy Spawns (Like the Robots Alongside The First in the Screenshot above)
Improved Royal Starborn Ship

Increased Starship Spawns
Increased Encounters
Royal Ashta, as that mod tweaks a whole planet

New Encounters
3x Increase to Value of Alien Death Drops from Royal Aliens
Changes to guns, legendary modifications, or perks
This is just a leveled list mod. It is all my royal leveled lists in one to save plugins. =)

Compatibility/Load Order:
This mod only tweaks vanilla records and should be able to be safe to add or remove at any time. Load it late so that its changes are not erased by other mods.

This should be compatible with everything, just load it after other mods that affect NPCs.

For Size scaling for non-combat humans, use the .esm from NPC Height Variation Toolkit. Load it before this mod.

Recommended Mods you should load before Royal Arena:
Most mods. Royal Arena loads late.
Starfield Community Patch
Skill Fixes
Player Level Scaling
Item Sorter
AI & Aggressive Enemy Mods (PEAK Casual Accuracy Suggested)
Skin Tones For Children
Mods that add or tweak factions
NPC Height Variation
2x-5x Enemies

Once installed, do not change load order # for the following mods:
GrindTerra
Reduced Gas Vents
Concept Art Akila
Venworks Open World Encounters and Caves Overhaul

Compatible Mods you should load after Royal Arena:
Royal Aliens Difficulty Customizers
Body or Headshot damage mods
Royal Starborn difficulty customizers
Royal Ashta. Not included because it requires tweaking the entire Akila planet.
Royal Galaxy if you decide to switch later in your playthrough (Not that I'm pushing you, just for correct overwrites.
Mods that tweak specific NPCs that might already be included here.

I am a teacher staying up way past my bedtime to work on this stuff. Creating different bundles and versions takes a lot of time. Any support appreciated. I love screenshots, nice comments, and endorsements. =)

Created because I want everyone to have options, but we also have a plugin limit to worry about.

Videogames are more fun. That's when JaeDL got heavily into Destiny 2 and making Skyrim guides on Reddit LOL. He is a longtime Bethesda-game & Science-Fiction/Fantasy enjoyer. He also loves Destiny, Bioware games, well-formatted information, his wife, and his pet cats.

If you need help with written aspects of mods you are working on, mod descriptions because you're not a native English speaker, etc., I'm happy to help.
