What the heck, if something does break I can always do a NG+ and start all over :)

So I know you said that you hadn't noticed any issues in X amount of playtime.

However, I am wondering if there was any specific testing conducted in regard to quests. Did you actually check and see and confirm that they don't break?

I only ask because this is not only a Starfield thing. It has been a thing in every Bethesda game. Screwing up the time ratio has always broken quests. There are already other mods for Starfield that do the same (kind of) thing, but they don't put it 1:1, they will only go so low with the ratios to avoid breaking things.

I would love to use something like this personally, but it just is not worth it if I get super far into the game and then there's an issue caused by this. Plus the history of this always breaking things in every previous Bethesda title like this, I have to say I am still extremely hesitant.

I ran a ~250 hour playthrough (no NG+), completed all the quests I could find, and none broke as a result of timing issues. (Those few that broke, did so because of known vanilla bugs, and I was able to fix every one.) I am one person and there's only so much testing I can do, but I specifically waited until I had done such a thorough playthrough before publishing the mod because I knew there'd be reservations about the ratio. I can't guarantee with 100% certainty that you won't experience problems because of this mod, but that is the case for every mod on the Nexus. If you're still uncertain, perhaps sit on it for a while, see how it goes for other people, and then give the mod a try if no one reports that it broke their game?

Fair enough. I'll track the mod and keep an eye on it.

Dude, you did a 250 hour playthrough to see if your mod broke things? That's some dedication.

I was reserved too about the timing issues but if you did not encounter one, I'm pretty sure I won't either.

      Thanks for the thoroughness.

How does this affect weather? Also, how doe sit affect timed missions?  like delivery misisons?  Does it give me more time to do them?

Also, also: is it possible to do alternate versions at different speeds between vanilla (I think its 15:1) and your realtime 1:1 ?  Maybe about half vanilla time-scale?

I always like longer time-scales in games,  I modded Cyberpunk to be twice as long - but 1:1 means I won't be able to see some of the cooler times of day transition naturally.  From what google showed me, Starfield's timescale is 15:1.  So can you get some middle ground of like 8:1 or 5:1 ?

I'm still gonna test this out regardless, just curious if its easy to bang out a couple of versions in-between both extremes.

Weather adjusts to the new ratio, so far as I can tell. Rain storms, etc., can last for quite a while.

      Yes.

There are other mods on the Nexus that offer intermediate ratios. Mine was created because no esm plugins so far seem to offer 1:1.

Installing now ty, however I have to say the realtime shadows Bethesda implemented in Starfield are insanely good. Fallout 4 for example didn't have realtime shadows. It could be activated though using the .ini, but it wasn't as good as the real time shadows in Starfield. I have to commend them for that.
