The new Rev-8 scanner icon in 1.15.216.0 needs an updated version of buttonclips.swf to show correctly, so here's an update made with Deebz' instructions from the description.

    Link: https://pixeldrain.com/u/BF5jWp1i

Edit: This might not be needed, after a save and reload the icon seems to return anyway. But updating to the latest source version can't hurt regardless.

Do we need this mod as well, or is the mod you linked a replacement for this mod? Thanks for posting it, by the way!

Replacement, I just applied Deebz' instructions from the description to the latest version of the files.

However note the edit above, this probably isn't strictly needed.

Any chance of a parsec one for Star Wars? :D

Lol that'd be interesting but should also be simple enough to edit this in xEdit.. as 1 Star Wars parsec = 3.26 lightyears.

Such a neat little change. I like mods like this. Thanks.

Any chance you could create a similar mod to correctly display the icon for grenades, mines and aid/chems instead of the 'catagory-icon' currently displayed on the quick slot menu?
As far as I can tell the icons are already there. The grenades, mines and aid/chems just need an 'icon-keyword' (and a .swf file for the mod to work).

Hey, hello! I have a little problem. It doesn't work for me. I installed it with MO2 and when it didn't work, manually(tried in both: "my games" data folder and the exe data folder). But it still didn't show up. I also don't have any mod that edits the interface outside the StarUI collection. I have looked into their settings but found nothing that edits this. Maybe I made a mistake in the installation or do I need something else?

I do not have your mod installed but... are you sure if this is an issue?
From what I saw in both Starship Guardians and normal ship when I click on some star system it says:
    Jumps 3
    Jump 30 ly
    Distance 67.204 ly
(Aranae to Schrodinger 3 for ex.)

Doesn't show LY in the ship hud by default.

    Really cool idea!

The only thing I would love to see added would be for measurements under 0.1LY to be shown in AU with (<0.1LY) next to it. Would also be super cool if below the line it could read "1LY = ~63241AU" but that is just nit picking. :)

Should be possible to do in theory since this script’s logic is pretty simple. Distance is obtained in meters, and then converted to other units through basic math.

However, adding lines would require potentially unsafe editing of that script. JPEXS only claims to be safe when doing simple p-code edits like this, so I only edited a few numeric values. I wouldn’t want to personally risk doing more extensive edits.

That is probably the wiser course. I have very little experience with JPEXS (mainly just browsing assets and searching for specific references) and had no idea about inherent instabilities. Still a great improvement as-is. Also, always love the orange jacket guy meme. :)

That answers the question I had about adding light minutes, hours, and days. You made the right choice only changing astronomical units to light seconds.

it baffles me that Bethesda chose to use BOTH Light Years and Astronomical Units in the game. AU was most of the time in the millions and so hard to understand the actual distance at a glance, It would make more sense in-system than across the galaxy.. It's almost like they messed up and made LY/LS and AU show in opposite situations, but I like 1 measurement system. thank you so much for this mod!
