Having a bit of trouble with this one. It seems to work, aside from not being able to see the challenges for leveling the perks. I am using Starborn Perk Tree at the same time. I'm not sure if the challenges still work because I don't know what they are. Could you tell me the challenge for void step?
Do the auto add to the powers menu or do you have to do the addskill command. Im having issues with the expanded powers menu and not sure if its because of these spells. I have no dropdown box to the right of the screen on the powers menu, but i did have the new powers unlocked in the skill menu
I think I'm locked into a light at this point. Going from light -> full will break peoples' saves. I'd prefer someone with a larger perk/spell overhaul port these spells over if they like them. I never meant to do too much with this mod since it was an early one.
I'm also having the problem where the Starborn perks area shows up blank. I've tried some of the things that seemed to work for other commenters, but the ones I managed to try didn't work. I'm running into a bit of a problem since some of the instructions specifically involve Plugins.txt which, on its Nexus page, says it's redundant since the June update. My folders aren't laid out the way your instructions say, so I'm having trouble figuring out what's missing. I used MO2 to download and enabled the mod, but I checked and didn't see the StarbornSkillTree.esm in the Data folder. I went ahead and downloaded manually (just into my downloads folder) and moved the esm into the Data folder. There was no Data/interface folder, so I copied that from the manual download and added it. I'm using the Data folder where my SFSE loader is. From previous modding journeys, I know there's probably more than one Data folder. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thank you so much for getting back to me. :) I don't have a plugins.txt for Starfield. I know I can go ahead and create one, but I wanted to ask: a) which folder should it be in, and b) which esm files should be listed there? I have about 50 mods including patches. I thought they were all working ok, but maybe once I get the txt file in I'll find out they could have been doing more. :) I'm sorry to bug you with this. I tend to get confused too easily because of chemo so when I try looking up info about this I get overwhelmed very quickly.
There should be a Plugins.txt in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Starfield It should already be there if you are using any plugins whether from Creations or Vortex as the base game will use that file. If it's there, don't make a new one.
If there's no Plugins.txt, then all of your plugin-based mods are not working (including this one). This is true whether you're installing from Nexus or from Creations -- they both use the Plugins.txt file to tell the game what .esm mods to load.
Loose interface files will still be loaded by the game though, which is why you see a blank perk tree.
If you've installed anything via Creations, you should be able to go back to there and it'll create a new one for you. If it still doesn't, you can make it yourself in that location and add *StarbornSkillTree.esm to it to see if the perks show up then
I added the Plugins.txt file and put the Starborn Skill Tree in it along with all other mods that said they required Plugintxt Enabler since I figure that means they'd use that file. I put them in the same order I have them loading in case that mattered. Unfortunately, nothing changed. The Starborn skills are still blank. Here's what my plugins.txt file looks like: # This file is used by Starfield to keep track of your downloaded content. *StarbornSkillTree.esm *BetterShipPartFlips.esm *BetterShipPartFlips - TNUsefulShipStructure Patch.esm *BetterShipPartSnaps.esm *ShipColorize.esm *Adjusted Outpost Limits.esm *OS_OutpostShower.esm *ImprovedFollowerBehavior.esm
I may have figured out the problem. Creations doesn't have some of my mods enabled (I can see this by looking at Creations when I'm in game). Clicking on Creations from the main menu when I'm not in game causes the whole thing to freeze, so I haven't found a way to enable them. The Skill Tree was definitely one of the ones that wasn't enabled.
Sure enough, once I managed to get back into Creations and was able to enable mods there it started working. It's kind-of a pain that enabling them in MO2 isn't good enough, but at least it works now!
It would be amazing (and i'd endorse) if you'd add a file where the damage powers were way more stronger.. like.. one shot enemies on very hard stronger. I want to be an overpowered "god like" Starborn.. no mod so far gives us that. powers are puny..
Love the mod. Using it on Bethesda Creations. Been using Void Step a lot and it’s changed melee completely.
I’m trying to jury rig a way to recreate the Shadow Warrior perk from Skyrim. Have you thought of giving void step a little umph at the highest level? You could make enemies lose track of you for a split second, enough to proc a sneak attack. Maybe a flat damage multiplier so you don’t need a sneak attack. Or activate slow time for a second when you teleport.
Restart the game and load into your save. Game data reloads with Creations (installing a mod, disabling a mod, changing load order) cause UI mods to stop working.
I like the new UI arrangement. However, on XBOX, I am unable to select the new powers, the side menu isn't here and I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

I really like all the new powers, they really add to the feeling of a space wizard.
Could you release the esm file as a full master without the esl flag?
This would allow us to create compatibility patches with other mods.
Show Power Name on HUD at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) IS HIDDEN - Im guessing it brakes something.

Plugins.txt Enabler is the mod that is redundant now, but you still need to use the actual Plugins.txt

Love the mod either way.
