I can't seem to find the rifle and the 2399 pistol in the Industrial workbench at Constellation when i go to craft it. I am using Vortex to manage my mods and it is saying that there are no issues with any of my mods. I read the description as to where to go to craft these weapons (which is the Industrial Workbench) however, when i go to the one in the Constellation Headquarters all that is present are materials like the Adaptive Frame and nothing more.
Also, do you happen to have any replacer mods for like the Novalight? I feel like these kinds of weapons (both this phaser rifle, the hand phaser and the 2399 phaser pistol mod should also replace the Novalight rifle and pistol.
I like this mod and even give it to my companions. However, it only lasts for that session. I've checked and made sure that the geometries/meshes are in the right folders... but next game session, the graphics don't show. It doesn't show for me, in the weapons menu or when I equip the rifle. No images. It also disappears for my companions, they have it equipped but it doesn't show and they don't shoot with it. If I craft a new rifle, it only seems to last for that game session. The next time I run the game, it's gone. Any ideas?
Actually, Ikland, you are not alone... (in fact, another user, ahrean4617, has reported the same issue a few comments below yours) and I do not think your installation is what is wrong. I have installed it manually with every step, no mistake, everything else works, just like you. I crafted multiple weapons from InquisitorOverhaulsReturn's mods, including this one, the Phaser Rifle 2373, the Hand Phaser 2399, and a couple of others and the visuals all vanish when either stored in a container or in a follower's equipment, and saving and reloading the game.
In fact, it seems to be the exact same issue as mentioned on the mod "Starborn not Toddborn", where certain pieces of equipment will vanish in the same circumstances. Quote of the author:
"Storing the suit in a container or companion, then saving game and reloading will cause the style mods to disappear breaking the visuals of the suit. This is a a bug in the game itself and can't currently fix this."
...In other words, I don't think Inquisitor did anything wrong on the mod, and I don't think you (nor arhean) installed anything wrong. I think this is an inherent issue with Starfield which probably cannot be fixed until the CK comes out. Basically, if you make any of Inquisitor's weapons... keep them in your inventory and don't store them away, and maybe give other weapons to your followers if you don't want to go through the trouble of changing their equipment all the time.
As for it not being an issue for Inquisitor - and potentially other users - I can't say. Maybe the issue doesn't happen in all circumstances or something. But it does happen.

You're quite welcome. And yeah, as long as you keep them in your own inventory, nothing will ever go wrong. I just have the misfortune of being a hardcore roleplayer, so I don't bring my guns everywhere I go, so I've had this issue a lot, lol. XD

From what little I tested, the issue seems to happen in literally any container that isn't your own personal inventory.
So if you put them in a box at your base, or in either the captain's locker or the cargo of your ship, then save and load your game, its visuals will have vanished as well. Happened to me in both locations. (Hven't tried in an outpost yet as I haven't built one so far, but I imagine it will do the same thing since it happens everywhere else, lol.)
Basically, it would be best to never leave it anywhere outside your personal inventory.
Well this has to be a known bug then, since I had my stuff dissapear from vanilla weapons as well, I placed them on display and few saves later they were gone lol.. I hope they can fix this soon!
Best advice then put up my apparel Overlord Boss Uniform that reduces weapon weight by 80% :D

I really like this one. I placed in slot 1 - replacing your plasma rifle/s (I like them all). Keep it coming. No issue on Desktop - Vortex - Steam. It pretty much kills whatever I hit. LOL
I like this mod and sadly youtube hates me so i wasnt aware this dropped still having played with it i realised its just the machinegun pulse type phaser.
is it possible to have like different barrels doing different weapon types like the beam phaser for a sniper build and the rapid fire pulse for MG and i think there was a shatter shot type phaser i saw on STO when i used to play that game but STO is not canon so i dont know how people feel about a phaser shotgun lol
finally i think its semi canon but i remember seeing a strange minigun like weapon known as the phaser heavy repeater again i think its from STO but some things from that game have become canon mainly ships so it would be cool to see them in game!
im the guy who mentioned that i have downloaded about 75% of your mods because they are worth it and they flesh out starfield more then bethesda ever tried to do! plus your plasma rifle is my favourite weapon lol
For now I am still figuring out how to add custom meshes properly to the workbench etc, its easier for me to import from blender to xedit and just insert in game, editing types and such is a bit more complex!
oh just so inform i have been making a UFO using your phaser beam turret mod. my UFO is 100m x 100m had a fight with the UC vanguard which for those who dont know how big the ship is in game, the Vang is 150m long but 55 meters wide. the UFO's central southern axis and northern axis have 2 phaser beam turret II's on it and it actually looks sick! its stuff like that is why i have you on watch as your making starfield playable!
the battle between my UFO ship and the UC vanguard didnt go well for the UC Vanguard and its escorts lol i had a top and bottom beam turret with 4 front facing top launchers 2 in the top and 2 in the bottom and it was weird seeing 2 phaser beams hitting the damn ship and 4 torpedo's destroying its shield like it was a piece of wet paper
my UFO has 500k shield hp (20+ Class M Zeus Shields) the vang i believe has 85k once its shield go the vang is actually made of plywood lol it melts who ever built that ship needs to be fired the UC Vang has no armour. my UFO has 50k hull lol so thats alot of health as the hull of the ship is how strong it is i just dread going into change stuff as the lag from all the parts makes it impossible to edit the ship lol.
there was something weird going on though i kept getting UC ??? <unintelligible communication> even the vanguard did this lol i think they had no idea how to handle a hostile first encounter situation.
anyway felt id just mention that and keep up the work dude i know it aint easy to mod this pile of garbage of a game but the ship sbuilder for me is the best bit but your mods have made the game bearable for me.
while i had fun killing the UC Vang i found the next day devorce papers in the mail XD seems like my sarah waifu was none too happy with me turning the biggest ship in the game into dust.
Just an F.Y.I. when in third person, the butt of the Phaser Rifle clips through the shoulder see User Image I don't expect there is much to do about it other than maybe re-scale the whole thing a bit smaller maybe?
The plasma for sure . Those little balls firing from it dont fire my rocket. The beam effect from the Nova lite would look much better on the Phaser and" the Plasma rifle . and the sound effects for both don't really sound like powerful energy weapons do in the movies. and the Phaser is too long . But at least your putting out content which is more than I can say for myself .
I mean.. sound editing is massive pain, just to find a correct sound for a gun would take 5 hours of work. I dont plan on wasting that much time, not until they simplify sound editing.
Lowering the scale of a weapon messes up my trigger location with the player, so I had to leave it that way...
Yea lol... 118 mods, its more like a DLC at this point
