Thanks to those who comment and/or endorse this mod!  Even if I don't respond to your individual comment, I still appreciate the feedback. This is my first mod for Starfield - I'm hoping the community here grows to rival Skyrim and Fallout.  If you find any bugs, please post them at the Bugs tab. If you have a suggestion, I'm happy to hear it here, but no promises!  :D  Update: Thanks again for all the downloads and endorsements that pushed this to the top of the Hot Mods page!  I'm stoked that you're loving it!

Optional File - Furnished Starborn Ship Alternate:  The first optional file just moves my lower crew stations and removes the dummy panel in the captain's cabin for better compatibility with SkinnyPig2's "All Cockpits..." mods.  See the last photo in Images for illustration.  No need to download it unless you use these mods or just like the alternate configuration better.  No need to download the main file if you use this optional one.

    FAQ:
    1. How to install manually?  Copy my .esm and folders to your Data folder (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data), and add *FurnishedStarbornShip.esm to your Plugins.txt file (typically C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Local\Starfield\Plugins.txt).  If this is your first mod, there are a few more steps to set up your system for modding.  In your Documents\My Games\Starfield folder, create a text file and name it StarfieldCustom.ini (not .txt), and put these lines in it:
    [Archive]
    bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
    sResourceDataDirsFinal=
You'll need to enable plugins too. Instructions are here: Plugins.txt Enabler.  To make that work, you'll need SFSE if you're on Steam, or ASI loader if you're on GamePass.  These or a mod manager are required for any mod with an .esm plugin file.  Honestly, if you're going to use mods, you'd do best to install Vortex.  It's a lot easier than managing files yourself.

    2. This mod doesn't work for me!  What do I do?  There are heaps of possible causes for this.  Some things to check:
    a. Make sure you have the following lines in your StarfieldCustom.ini
      [Archive]
      bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
      sResourceDataDirsFinal=
    b. If using Vortex, are you allowing Vortex to manage your load order?  You can check in Vortex by going to the Settings page, the Mods tab, and the Starfield heading.  Both the Manage Load Order and Use Folder Junction toggles should be on.
    c. Is the mod enabled and deployed?  In Vortex, go to the Mods page and check that there's a green Enabled box next to the mod. If not, click the box to enable it.  You should get some messages saying your mods are deploying.  If not, click the Deploy Mods button at the top of the page.  Next, go to the Load Order tab, find FurnishedStarbornShip.esm, and make sure the box to the right of it is checked.
    d. Is another mod overwriting this?  Still in the Load Order tab, drag FurnishedStarbornShip.esm to the bottom of your load order.  This will make it take priority over other mods.
    e. Is the mod correctly inserted into your plugins.txt file?  In the Mods page, click the Open... menu and then Open Game Application Data Folder.  This will open the folder containing your plugins.txt file.  Open that file and check that *FurnishedStarbornShip.esm is in there.  If it is, then you should be good.
    f. Check if the mod works in a new NG+ save.  Start the game and load a save from right after you exit the Unity. The game automatically saves at this point, so you should have a save game called "Starborn Guardian __" as you spawn for the first time in NG+.  Load that game.  If the ship is furnished in that save but not your current save, then your current save has baked the ship blueprint into the save itself.  You'll have to wait until your next NG+ to use this mod.
    g. Check for things that conflict with Plugins.txt Enabler.  If you have Baka Disable My Games Folder or Modfix Check, get rid of them.  They're obsolete. Delete any old sTestFile entries from your StarfieldCustom.ini.  This method of deploying mods is also obsolete.  Make sure your mod .esms are in your Starfield\Data folder, not in its evil twin in your Documents folder. (Its okay if they're in both places, but not if they're just in the Documents folder).  If you're using Vortex, it should be taking care of this for you.
    h. Reinstall.  If none of this works, try removing the mod (orange button on the right side of the Vortex Mods page), deleting the archive, and downloading it again.  Occasionally a download will get corrupted or won't install properly.
    i. Throw your computer in a river or pond.  This won't get the mod working, but it will probably make you feel better for a moment or two until you realize all your babka recipes were on there.

    # FurnishedStarbornShip.esm- Load Order Index: 27- Attributes: Active, Master Plugin## Messages- Warning: This plugin is not a blueprint master and requires the blueprint master \"BlueprintShips\-Starfield\.esm\"\. This can cause issues in\-game\, as this plugin will always load before \"BlueprintShips\-Starfield\.esm\"\.

I just went through my 100 mods and 25 of them had BlueprintShips as a master.  20 of those only added it because SF1Edit required it in its early build.  That is an error.  I cleaned 20 mods myself but yours can not be cleaned.

Could you rebuild it please to address this issue?
  3. Love it. Makes me want to build my own Starborn ship rather than abandon it ASAP (probably not enough starborn-themed ship parts yet, but still)

For some reason TN's Starborn Guardian Ship Building Mod unfurnishes any L-K ships modified? :(

This Mod furnishes the L-K ships perfectly if you don't try to modify them.

TN provides patchs for the l-k ships, but this mod here is only for the standard guardian shps, for the l-k ships you need the file "furnished L-K ships v5" in the optionals files of the L-K ships mods.

Your issue has NOTHING to do with "Furnished Starborn Ship", because it doesn't modify the L-K ships at all.
"furnished L-K ships v5" is merely a recreation of "furnished starborn ship" in the L-K ships, it's NOT a patch for it.

Is this supposed to work with versions of the ship granted by "Starborn Guardian VII+"? Because it doesn't...If it's not, it'd be nice if there was at least an addon that did...

...IIRC, "Starborn Guardian VII+" is a paid creation, so...there's that issue...

First off, you're doing god's work. Thank you. Secondly, I was wandering if there is anyway to add all the wonderfull clutter etc you added that only comes in on NG+ 3, 4 etc? I Don't have much time to play and probably won't reach that far into the game. But im very eager to see the all changes you've made.

Hey GrafPanzer, could you provide the esp file for personal use? Thanks!

There isn't one, actually.  I built this in xEdit before the Creation Kit was released, so there's only an esm.

Loving this one! Makes it feel so much better.

Any chance of integration with the on-ship decorating system? Currently, you can't move/delete placed furnishings and workbenches, or build new instances of the Guardian furniture.

Looks like Earrindo has published a mod that does what you're asking.

If I use a mod that changes the color of the Guardian VI via Textures, would that cancel out your mod?

    Thanx!

No.  I have a texture replacer, this furniture mod, and a mod that adds a decorator panel although there is a control for that already in the ship now since an update.  And tweaks to the actual ship specs too, all working just fine.

First, love your mod. Im not sure why BGS didn't decorate the ship from the start. One thing I'm not sure if someone has reported (although not a bug entirely) but it does not effect the Helix or Scorpius ship. I was wondering if you were aware of this or not?

I'm aware, thanks.  Those ships have different blueprints than the player ships.  The player never has an opportunity to own either of those, I don't think, and I didn't think it made sense to decorate them the same as the player ship anyway.  In my head canon, each one would be decorated to the owner's taste.

Gotcha, the only way a player could "own" those ships is by using the Unlock command or spawning them in. If you're thinking they should be decorated to their respective NPC's taste, any thoughts about doing it? I would love to see it since I already enjoy the current mod and because the NPC ships are statistically better.

When I first entered new game plus I was heavily disappointed with the emptiness of the starborn ship.  This mod honestly feels like how it should have been in vanilla, especially considering the assets were already created.  Thank you so much for this wonderful mod!
