    Figured I can't be the only one that likes the new cockpit added by DerreTech, but really wanted to have those screens on my pilot seat console, so went ahead and uploaded this patch in case anyone else wanted to have the screens that displayed if they had critical systems onto the pilot seat.

    Well, that was what got me started anyway, it's grown considerably beyond just screens on a pilot seat.

    18.4 up, fixed the new cockpits so that they properly spawn door hatches on their aft side.  Also added a new Winged/armored version of the cockpit, Also adjusted the model of the Wingless/armored cockpit.  

    18.6 is about to be posted, it's adding colorizing options to the manual fire artillery weapons, also adds new armored 1 way glass canopy's to the armored cockpits, leaving 18.5 up so that if people prefer the original cockpit canopy's, they can manual download it and swap the AWLext2.nif and DSArmoredext2.nif from 18.5 into the Data/Meshes/MatilijaDTEX/Cockpit2 folder.  

    Updated to 18.7 adds a new pilot seat mesh branded with the DerreTech Logo and in the DerreTech color aesthetics, this allows for the logo to move with the seat when the pilot sits in it rather than floating behind it.-Reuploaded due to corruption in the previous file, not sure what happened.

    Working on improving the DerreTech Pilot Seat further, with better coloring, more and improved branding.

    Updated to 18.8, improves DerreTech Pilot Seat, now visible in ship builder without causing any odd clipping issues in interior, all Turrets have been fixed to be truly automatic, no need for target lock.

    Sorry I've not been active the past few days, I have quite a few RL things I'm working on, I'll be back as soon as I have those taken care of.  But could be inactive for a few more days, just wanted to leave an update to let everyone know, I'm not gone, just busy, and will be back soonish. 

    Next Version will include 3 new landing gear variants with side snaps(one with port, one with stbd, and one with both), new armor plate variants that help non DT habs blend in with DerreTech's new Corner Habs and Stairs, Removal of Seeks target on the Turreted weapon Projectiles to ensure they fire automatically without need for target lock, new projectiles for the manual fire weapons so that they can retain the seeks target setting to set them apart from vanilla manual fire weapons, and more that I am working on, but won't put here as they may not be ready before I release the next version.....finally have a chance to test some of my changes, and the game's updated....C'est La Vie.....update tentatively tomorrow 3/20, as long as I can update my mods and test before tomorrow night.


    Working on version 19, will add 2 new Shielded Reactor Hab Variants(one fore/aft, and one port/stbd they will require lvl 75, and add a small bit of shielding on top of their power/hull values), some "hopefully" improvements to collision on lasers and flak cannons , also going to update the LJTigerhabexpansion to "fix" the glitching floor tile in the work room of both the medical 3x3x2 medical hab and the Security hab, should have it out by end of day 3/24.

    Version 19
     is up, two new reactor hab variants, they are Shielded reactors, providing a bonus to shields as well as hull, they require lvl 75 due to their fairly high stats, one is fore/aft position, the other is port/stbd.  Also did some minor fixes to collision on some of the ship weapons.  Still working on the LJHab floor glitch, should have it up in about an hour or so.

    Just a heads up to everyone following this mod, I'm going to be taking a few days to a week off to work on an update for my other mod Matilija's Balance Sheet, so I'm not abandoning this, just taking a break to work on something else for a bit.

    About half way done with Version 20, should be up this upcoming weekend by end of day 4/6/2024.  It will have 90 degree flips for all 3 Cowling and Scaffold sets as well as 90 degree flips for Nose structural pieces, a new high level particle beam turreted cannon, and possibly a couple of other small things I'm working on.  Just wanted to everyone to know I am working on the mod, I know I've been kind of absent the past few days, but I've been busy at work, and working on the update when I'm home.  

    Version 20 is up, Adds wide cowling  and scaffold sets, which are just the 2x1 cowling options flipped to be 1x2 instead, also adds 1x2 nose flip set(42 new flips across the 3 different cowling and scaffold options), new lvl 95 class C particle beam cannon turret, minor adjustment to the interior of the shielded reactor habs that adds a "startrek" like reactor core beneath the floor vents.  

    Working on version 21, there will be class A-C manual fire Cruiser and battleship style weapons, also working on a new DerreTech Branded landing bay, hoping to have done by the weekend....with any luck, stay tuned.

    Version 21 is up, New Class A B and C Manual Fire Cruiser and Battleship Cannons available, new DerreTech Branded Landing bay available in both Fore and Aft positions, minor updates to the armored cockpit, both winged and wingless versions.

    Working on next update,  Not sure when it will be ready, but will mention more about it when I'm close to having it ready.

    Version 22
    is up, all new Large Shield Generator(Class C, but designed to suit Class M ships as well), Some new external lighting on the shielded reactor habs, 2 new Crossbrace style lvl 75 powered shield boosters(balanced by costing an arm and 3 legs), all new model for my original shield booster to not rely on the original DerreTech Shield model, and rebalanced original shield booster to consume 4 reactor power without requiring extra power in shields, 2 new staircases, they both have 4 floors, and port/starboard exits, one faces aft with fore exits, and the other faces fore with aft exits, so both offer 3 exits on each floor and have good(imo) internal lighting.  Hope everyone enjoys!  

    Version 22.1 is up, it adds Starboard and port variations of the 4 floor 3way staircases, it shrinks the original(but new model) shield booster to by approximately the same size as a scan jammer, slightly smaller footprint, and just slightly taller, fixes the colorizing on the landing bay doors, adds both fore and aft cosmetic spotlights with 6 color options(might consider side options at a later date, but not right now, please don't ask) that can be added to your ship to point lights at structures(works in game, but can't see the actual light casted in the ship builder) also adds a new semi low profile 360 degree hemi-spherical turret, the animation on it probably still needs work, but it does work, and it is what it is. 

    Version 23 is up, adds 3 deck option for my 3way staircases, improves the model of the hemispherical Turret, improves the model of the Shield booster, a few other minor improvements across the board.  Probably going to take a break from modding for a bit so I can sit down and actually build a ship of my own and use it for a bit.  Well, except for one smaller update I'll post in a ~an hour or two to fix the colorizing on the landing bay door.  :P  I hope everyone enjoys.

    Version 23.25 Changelog from V23, fixed colorizing on landing bay, added a dragonscale plate to the bottom of landing bays, minor adjustments to the hemispherical turret model and fixed colorizing on it, also adjusted the spotlights so that they can now light up the ground beneath your ship if you attach them to the ships undercarriage, they will only project light that is visible if they are within 2 decks of ground level, any higher than that and the light diffuses too much to be very visible on the ground.  

    This mod is effectively defunct, the models were updated to work with 1.11.36 but will not be updated further, instead all of my future work will be on my new replacement Mod, Matilija's Aerospace and this will remain in Legacy mode so that people can finish their games that have it active, I recommend switching to Matilija's Aerospace only when starting a new game and or going through the Unity into NG+.

    Ever since the new update, a lot of my visuals on things stopped working. Mods for them have been updated, but it didnt help. For example, Vasco is now a human head. Just the head. My body is invisible except the head if I dont wear anything. Most ship modules from Derretech or anything similar, only shows part of the modules. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling every mod and nothing works. I dont know anything about the fine details of mods or files so I have no idea what is happening.

      1.11.36 broke everything, if you want a version of this mod that works with it, I recommend switching to Matilija's Aerospace, this mod isn't being worked on anymore, it's only up for people that refuse to update their game, but I took the opportunity due to the mess to re-make and relaunch my mod as a new ship manufacturer rather than an expansion for another mod.

    can't wait for updates for this and the derretech legacy mod, and other mods, it would be nice if steam/bethesda would stop updating to stop breaking these great mods, I have tried various methods to roll back to a previous update to get mods to work, but alas nothing has worked

      This mod has already been updated, but it's no longer supported and has been replaced with the mod Matilija's Aerospace.

    From what I've read on Reddit, someone just needs to remake Derretech. He seems like he really likes the power he has because of his mod, with his refusal to let most people make patches. I also don't want to hear excuses about mental health. Many of us have issues. Some of us just know not to take it out on the rest of the world, even if it is hard. 

    So, now Derretech has stated he doesnt want to come back because modders dared to want to use his mod and other mods without incompatibilities. That is truly wild. 

    Feel free to lecture me on why Im wrong, because I want to believe he was just having a bad couple months when he wrote all the non sense Ive seen on Reddit. I am not entitled. I hate entitled people. He is NOT obligated to do any thing for us. I am solely speaking on his reasons and attitudes and that it might be time to move on. Not like he invented the stuff. The models are just shrunk down models of other stuff from in the game, like parts of buildings and other ships and space stations. Not sure about the dragon cockpits though. I love those damn things lol.

    I do not expect nor demand that he fixes Derretech. But every other modder was like "yeah this blows, but it happens in most games". Derretech guy basically threw a fit and said he was taking his ball and going home.

    Again, feel free to tell me why i am wrong, because I dont want to believe this stuff about him. But those reddit posts were very eye opening to me at least.

      That was months ago, he's returned since then, and he even has a video on his mod page explaining why he's not fixing his mod instantly, he's working on improving models with custom geometries to ensure he doesn't have something like 1.11.36 happen again that could just break it. 

      Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, you can't be wrong with an opinion, but you have to accept that not everyone's opinion will agree with yours.  So while there wouldn't be a possibility to lecture you on why you're wrong with your own opinion, because opinions are subjective and can't by definition be wrong, but they also can't be considered right either.  So take of that what you will.  And have a great day.

      let me start off by saying that I see you have published 0 mods, so you've never had to deal with hundreds of strangers on the internet continuously posting their opinions on what should be done with YOUR content. and you've never had to see your name continuously pop up around different circles for the game.

My comment section became worse than useless. hundreds of comments from the original mod page were complaints about things from patches. no one would ever say if they were using patches. people would tell me to change things about other people's patches. it never ended. it made my experience with my own mod into a negative one. if i'm having a negative experience overall, then i'm not going to do it. that's why i closed my comment section.

      please explain to me exactly how i'm taking it out on the rest of the world by continuing to put my content out there despite the unending deluge of negativity that i continuously receive in return for it, that you are now a part of.

      no one made you read anything i wrote. no one made you watch any video i made. no one made you use my mod. no one made you write this comment. this is how you're choosing to spend your time.

      no one has ever been able to meet this challenge. perhaps you'll be the first. open up my .esm in XEdit and point out a single specific thing from my mod that can possibly be the source of a conflict with any other mod.

      my mod changes nothing from the vanilla game. the only possible conflict that my mod can be the cause of is from my menu sort order values, which i have had listed on the mod page from the beginning.

      I'll start having better months when people can finally stop talking about me and just leave me alone. all i want is a mod page to upload my s#*! for people who might find some small enjoyment from it, and then for everyone to just leave me alone. posts and attitudes like yours are exactly why i've been having problems.

      making my mod is an artistic outlet for me, like playing music or painting. having people constantly get all high and mighty with me about what they think I should be doing with it is ridiculous. you're just the latest that i've seen.

      would you go up to a musician and tell them that someone else should just remake their song? and if they don't like that you said that, that it's probably time for them to stop playing music?

      You do it. Why don't you be the one to "just remake" my mod. And then you can be the one to have people constantly telling you what you should be doing with it, and constantly receiving endless negativity like your very comment, and people telling you that you're "taking it out on the world" in return.

      I've never claimed that my mod does not extensively use vanilla assets.

      And if it's just shrunk down models, then you shouldn't care so much to take the time to write five paragraphs about it.

      Is it content that NEEDS to be put in the hands of someone else, or is it content that is completely unremarkable? You can't have it both ways.

      That was a reference to people like you trying to tell me that I shouldn't have control over my content. Not about the update.

      I initially said that I was not going to remake my mod after the update, which changed after jmpz11 made a tool that does the hard part of remaking it automatically.

      If you don't like my content, or if you don't like the way I'm going to distribute my content going forward, or if you don't like some random s#*! i've said that no one made you read or listen to, then just don't use my mod and move on - just like you do for THOUSANDS of other mods, except without spouting endless negativity about those authors.

      I don't want to bother you, but I do want to apologize for any headache this mod has caused you, that's why I went ahead and remade it so as to no longer require DerreTech. 

      I wouldn't have even made it to begin with had the permissions not been made open source during your absence.  I really appreciate everything you have made, without your mod I would have probably given up on Starfield months ago.  So thank you and may all your endeavors be successful.

    I'm sincerely hoping your 3x3 captains quarters from the LJTiger expansion with that custom TV makes it into Matilija Aerospace.  I love that captain's quarters.

      That sounds amazing.  I've said it before, but you're awesome.  One of my favourite mod authors for sure.  Ship building, maybe the most important feature in the game for me, wouldn't be the same without your contributions.

I now have your full legacy 99.999 build, and followed in your footsteps, and fully converted the legacy Derretech mod myself too, and am now looking at a fully repaired shipyard! Everything is back, Derek's stairs, cockpits, your cockpits, your weapons, simply all.

      Your love for the community, and tireless help to get 'mesh gate' resolved as soon as possible, have not been forgotten!

      Yep. You and Derretech and a couple of other ship modders have made mods that have become 100 percent necessary for me. I wont be playing until you and Derek update your mods :)

      I'm having an issue with all of my habs, where I'm getting bay and docking doors inside of all of them, so there is no way to pass from one hab to another, trying to figure out what went wrong, but otherwise, I'm "almost" there and ready for re-launch.

    As a fan of the mod community , until bethesda can either add mod/ full mod support and that includes full mod support from everyone here on nexus who has dedicated time and effort to making starfield better , i say this , to hell with bethesda and your updates

    (due to the changes in the May Update, this mod is dead and will not be updated as is, but instead will be re-launched as a standalone mod that no longer requires DerreTech)

    I hope you will at least update your mod with the .nif Mesh Path Migration Tool for SF 1.11.33, right? Or is this something we need to do ourselves? Really need your mod as much as Derretech's itself. :)

      I also second this! could you atleast use the tool and re-upload it as a 'Legacy' mod for us to use anyways? (or maybe one of us can do the work and give it to you to upload?)

      No, it only updates my models, not DerreTech, the author of DerreTech is working on his mod.

    Your weapons are so beautiful!
    Are there any plans to develop a tri-tube variant of the cruiser's cannon, or perhaps a downsized version of the battleship cannon? One that would be more appropriate for C, B, and A-class ship sizes.
    The battleship variant of the cannon is more appropriately sized for M-class ships, whereas it appears overly large when mounted on Class C and Class B and Class A ships.

      I'm not working on the mod right now, the May update is going to break the mod, and it might take me hundreds of hours to rebuild it as it is, so there is no work being done on it for the time being, I'm not even sure if I'm going to rebuild it yet, it's going to take me a bit to wrap my head around what is broken and how it's broken, so for now, consider the mod on pause.

      Yea I am sure it is adding ship decorations that killed it. I am going to miss both Derretech and your mod they made shipbuilding so darn good.

      Not to forget Avontech, TIG, TN and many more. This patch will likely bomb ship building back to ground zero, and I doubt all of the broken mods will get updated. I'd be happy for two or three already. But this may well be the patch that breaks Starfield for me. Shipbuilding is my main fun in the game.

      I'm going to look into what it takes to keep at least my mod and the original DerreTech alive, but I just don't really know what kind of workload it's going to be yet, I can't really test it until I have both the update and the updated SFSE, so that's why I'm not working on the mod currently, I just don't want to put work in now that might not work at all in 2 weeks especially if I can't find a way to fix what is broken.

      If the mod cannot be fixed, I will remain on the 1.10.31 update.
      The enjoyment of a game is significantly more important than its updates.

      There's hope for the mod to continue without needing to worry about it, however, I will be not updating this mod any further, and will instead be releasing a standalone mod that doesn't rely on DerreTech, work is progressing, hoping to have something ready to release before the end of the month.  Hoping to have all of my weapons and habs carry over to the new mod, though there will likely be some changes, like the branding.

      I will be updating all of my models, however this mod will be considered dead as I'm going to re-launch it as a new Stand alone mod that doesn't require DerreTech, It will be called Matilija's Aerospace and I should have the initial version of it out hopefully by 5/19 end of day, i'll be working on it with all of my free time between now and then.

      when you say this mod is considered dead, does that mean you will leave it as legacy like derretech did so our current ships atleast don't break? :'(

      I'm not deleting it, just not updating it, it's going to be left as is as a legacy file, and I will be releasing a new mod that basically has all of the same parts, simply re-branded as Matilija Aerospace parts.  Or at least that's the plan, I'm currently working on getting all of my .nifs converted, then I'll be working on transferring everything to a new ESM for the "new" mod.
