It works as advertised if the inventory manipulation is done via the normal way through companion dialogue but does not work at all if other methods introduced by other companion mods are used. A slight disappointment for those who use The Gang's All Here or like mods.
Regardless, although this mod certainly could be made better if updated or a patch issued to handle other methods of inventory access, that is minor. Being able to actually see the companion in question during inventory manipulation instead of my PC's ugly mug is already good. I mean equipping apparel on Sarah, Andreja or other female recruited NPC or even the guys for that matter but the one that shows on the screen is my male PC? That's just nonsense.
Great mod, I was looking for somehitng exactly like this.
For some reason, when I'm using this (https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/5142?tab=files&file_id=17188) mod (it's hidden, but can still be downloaded from this link for some reason; it's a mod for Sarah's hair) it will work the first time, but then if I go into their inventory again no model appears at all. Then if I try to load into a new area, I get stuck on an infinite loading screen. Any chance you could take a look?
Once again leave it to modders to add features that should have been there from the beginning. Just scrolling mods and found this. Can't live without it now.
100% I think this is the laziest game Bethesda have released to date. So much was missing that should easily of been implemented, makes no sense at all why it wasnt -___-
@senterpat Is this a Steam-only mod? The description doesn't list any requirements, but you reference SFSE in the text. I'm not using Steam and I really want this mod. Thanks!
EDIT: Never mind! Great mod! I installed it for PC (non-Steam) with Vortex, no problem.
Since the new buggy update, this mod causes a conflict on some load orders that results in missing clothing textures such as Sam Coe's pants or completely invisible npc clothing. I have redownloaded it and tried it again and again with the same results. Doesn't seem to be affecting everyone, so it must be a conflict with another mod or certain .ini settings. This didn't happen before the update and I only found out what was causing my issue thanks to other people on reddit experiencing the same issue.
I am unwilling to call it a bug with this mod without further evidence, but it is an issue that some should be aware of as this isn't a mod people suffering from this issue would suspect.
If you get it to work on your load order, this is a great quality of life mod that should have been a feature in the vanilla game!
Slash I have the same issue. If you ever figure out what you have that is conflicting, please let us know, because it is so annoying not being able to use this mod.
