If it is possible would you please create an hardcore version of this, make it challenging and it would be more fun. If not please message me where would i fix the numbers of ghost in xedit.... Thanks for this mod, it is really mostly always on top of my list to download.
I added this when adding a bunch of others. Then spent 2 days figuring our load order fir 500+. Finally played today, had forgotten about this and had a true jump scare in kreet research facility. I noticed wirh shades their gear plus this , the non-converted bodies are now srippable where they were not before.
Wow this is a truly and fascinating mod, bringing some supernatural elements and haunted space stations into this awesome game. Absolute love this mod idea (just like all things supernatural and spooky) :D
By the way..... can you make a few of these dead bodies rise and attack my protagonist? I am missing space zombies in eerie lost empty space stations full of corpses so much!
Did anyone successfully play the Crimson Fleet quest with this mod active (so did the spawn at The UC prison activate)? I had it not working and I tried this and that and went forth and back, until I disabled the specters mod. And see there: The monster spawn in the UC prison at the early quest stage of "Echoes of the past" finally showed up and all triggers were working.
Was fun at first. But when you come fighting a dozen specters at the same time (and one or two had weapons and shot me, lol) at the Kreet lab - then it's not that fun to me. I'd love to encounter a few(!) ghosts here and there, getting surprised while exploring "lost" places. But as it is right now, I'm not looking for Call of Specters. E: I see in xEdit there are places with over 40+ enemy ghosts. Yeah, sure, count me out.
Fair enough. Glad they worked for you. But I also never said it was a random surprise encouter type of mod, but I think I wrote "So beware of places with lots of corpses". ;-) However, I can make a max-3-Specters-per-location version if there is demand for it.
If you think about the atmosphere at the location: You see some bodies, you start looting, and then a specter gets you. That is immersive. Having just invisible enemies wave after wave but no corpses anymore takes some of the taste away. In my personal opinion. Maybe even mix it like: Having 1-2 specters haunting, but 1-2 not ghost state dead roaming. Like some scientists roam in kinda physical form, doing their "work", unable to cut loose and set their spirit free (but not aggressive). While you still have corpses lying around, telling the story of the place.
Also nice idea. It's a different kind of mod though - an "immersive" one. I created explictly a monster one. But maybe worth looking into creating a version like you imagined.
Endorsed and Voted!!!! Makes the game that much worth playing... When I downloaded this mod I had no idea what was going to happen. As soon i started the prologue, I got Slammed with them and thought it was funny the pirates was crouching and watching me fight them all and wound up crawling away. See i got slammed with 10+ in one room. Now that the kinda thing i was just looking for!
A thought? ADD Spectral ghost fighterships.... Gotta be thousands of angry vengeful ghost in space wanting their payback! I suspect if its possible to use the spectral mesh/texture on the spaceship modules? And again I endorsed and vote for this mod!!!!!!
Thanks, glad you liked it. Currently working on a better version of the mod, with more Specters in general, and with different visual effects, but also making them level better with the player, so you won't get swarmed by ten level 30 Specters when you're actually just level 5 yourself. I also like the idea of the ghost ships, will need to look into how these encounters are handled, though and how to insert custom encounters.
honestly- maybe have a few file settings (ranged easy to hard) so others can choose how many they prefer to deal with. i have no problem with the numbers. i was simply saying it is exactly what i was looking for in a fight. I suspect you can do more with this mod when Creation Kit comes out Febuary 2024 like making custom encounters / quest....
Handling the amount and frequency or having various versions or configuration options is quite a hassle. I quess the new leveled approach in v2.0 (now up) will be good enough.
