Nicely done. Much more appropriate. I hope you continue to refine it once CK is released.

Now we just need to turn the Earth into a volcanic, nuclear hellscape to explain the absence of all life and water on the planet with just the POI's not actively trying to kill you, seeing as Bethesda's explanation of what happened to Earth makes absolutely no sense and even a cursory look at what a magnetosphere is and does would tell them that.

Curious, how did you manage to copy TitanPlanetData as an entry to your .esm? SF1Edit does not give me the option to do so for Planets. I want to add Mercury's orange glowing sun space sky to other moons.

This is one  of the best starfield mods so far. Really, great job.

Marvelous work, Maddensterror02. We get Titan instead of Hoth ;-)
Love the wet, brown, hazy ambience.

Dang, yes. Hoth! I knew it felt familiar to me. But yeah, I prefer the mod version of Titan, too.

It works, but in my game there is still white snow on everything in New Homestead.

I've tried fixing this, but as of right now. It's likely not possible to fix until the ck releases.

Can you change the snow color to tan then it would pass off as sand.

@Dante1327 I've tried but I believe the snow is part of the new homestead poi itself, so I can't really seem to change anything about it. The only thing I was able to change was the cell it was in, so I was able to fix the water having ice in it. We're very limited in what we can do without the official tools right now, but I'll keep looking for a way.

Yeah, I admit I was also disappointed with how they made Titan look, having seen pictures of the surface of Titan myself. It really makes me think they just didn't do their research or just didn't care that much.

I thought Titan dose have some ice on it though.

More than some. :) Due to the moon's extreme cold, ice is basically making up the entire surface, taking the place of the rock layer on a warmer planet. It acts just like rock, forming mountains and valleys, smaller "stones" and sand, sculpted by erosion from rivers and lakes of methane and ethane, natural gases on Earth.

It's really, really cool and I hope NASA succeeds in getting their Dragonfly rover out there (planned launch, 2028, would arrive in 2035) for better pictures. Maybe they can be used for research on Starfield 2. :p

I did not realize Titan had a unique biome.  Cool

Question:  in TitanPlanetData, you removed the reflection data in Component #4.  Why did you do this, and what effect does it have?

    Thanks

I don't use your resources to edit planets. I just make a new entry under planets and copy everything over from starfield.esm before changing lines. Reflection data cannot be copied at this time which is why most weapons can't be edited in xEdit, so I'm unsure as to how your planet data resource has it. I've seen absolutely zero effect from removing it, as I've done the same with my moon mod.

lol  Even I don't use my resources to edit planets anymore.  I have found that you don't want to edit planets and stars in the same ESM, or the string values start doing strange things.

kk, think I'll see what happens when I remove it from one of my planets.

Oh!  I want to see more strange things in the game!  Edit the planets and the stars, and my the digital universe unfold in all its strangeness and mystery!  (But looking at the windows screen at a surprising moment is neither strange nor mysterious, so know the limits when you make your new strange and mysterious digital universe mod).

      resource has it.

I made a copy of Starfield.esm, renamed it, and deleted all the groups except Planet.  xEdit won't copy the data, but your computer will.

Have you been able to find out how to edit planets to use a different biome? I've literally done everything in my testing and no matter what, the planet will just default back to it's original biome. I basically deleted everything from Europa except for one keyword and literally a savannah biome, and it still defaults to frozen hills biome. I wonder if it's hardcoded as some sort of protection. it's very strange because its the only thing that can't be altered on planets.

Planet biomes are in Data\planetdata\biomemaps.  You have to extract them from Starfield - PlanetData.ba2.

The biome records in Starfield.esm are basically a listing of plants and animals.  It's the separate .biom files that decide what type of biome gets assigned to what tiles on the planet.

I have no idea how to edit those.  You can swap them around by renaming them, but since they match the planet map that can cause issues.  Rename the Neon one to jemison.biom and you won't be able to land, because even though you see land the game thinks it's all water.

Today, for fun, I replaced a moon with Toliman II.  The PNDT gives me the geography, plants, animals (and terrormorphs).  Renaming the biom file made everything match.
