Additionally, a compatibility patch for the Moduler People System has been added to the files tab. Place it after both this mod and the MPS in Plugins.txt to ansure proper load order.
A note for players interested in using the Toolkit to create their own esm file(s): Some NPCs have multiple records. In most (but not all) cases, one serves as a template for the others, and changes made to it should apply to them as well. Cora Coe has two records, but these are distinct entries that should be separately modified.
The mod should still work with NPCs present in the game since release. Newly added NPCs will have to be manually adjusted for the time being. I'm most likely going to substantially overhaul this mod in the near future.
I have tried everything to get this mod to work but I keep getting an error saying "This mod is incompatable with the current version of the game.
I even went as far as to dowload an older version of the game from november 2023 along the scrpit ectender for that version and it still gives the same error.
Hmm. No matter what I do, no one's height is altered. Very strange. I have a buttload of mods running, so i am familiar with all the troubleshooting. Do you know of any mods that conflict off the top of your head?
There are any number of mods that substantially alter NPC records that may overwrite parts of this one. Souls of Cities, Venworks Faction Overhaul, the Royal mods, etc. The fact that you're not seeing any height variation at all, however, suggests to me that the mod is not even active. Are you using a mod manager like MO2? If so, please check that the mod is in fact activated. I know this may sound obvious, but see @p0sthum4n's comment below.
The majority of NPCs were naked, and they all shared one face. The face would change depending on the location in my load order, but the effect was the same. That was with the patch. Without the patch, I'd say about 50% of the NPCs are floating heads and arms. That was on New Atlantis, the only planet I checked before removing and rolling back a few saves.
What is the load order for this? I had it at the below and all the citizens were bald. RandomNPCHeights.esm ModularPeopleSystem.esm HVM_MPS_Compatch.esm
I changed it to below and seems to be working? Is the below order correct? ModularPeopleSystem.esm HVM_MPS_Compatch.esm RandomNPCHeights.esm
Hello, could you make, please, a version that dosnt affect the name of NPC, especially for non-english player . It is a shame to have to convert +3000 name in Xtranslator to keep Starfield in our base game language....
Nice update thank you. I actually originally installed this mod to fix my issue where Cora was getting bigger and bigger every time I loaded into the game, she was taller than us all by the time I found this mod, this fixed that but now Sarah is getting smaller and smaller, pretty funny to be honest, I imagine your new update will fix this but just thought I'd share because it's really making me laugh. I'd be happy for her to disappear all together so it's cool but Cora being huge was freaky as hell.
i would like to a plea for a specific NPC's height being reduced. Marcel the Tradeauthority vendor at the Den seems to be at bit too height. when interacting with him thru his booth, his head is off the visual dialog.
The heights were randomly assigned by a script. I've provided both tools and instructions for customizing NPC heights to suit your preferences. You don't even have to bother altering files if you don't want to: the changes can be made (on a per-playthrough basis) using the command console.
Can't seem to get this working and unfortunately have no idea what I'm doing wrong as I've only recently started playing Starfield again.
Installed the FOMOD version using MO2.
In order of priority (higher to lower), I have MSE, then the toolkit, then the toolkit patch.
Edit: So of course I immediately get it working after posting. For whatever reason MO2 didn't automatically check the .esm file like it usually does. All good now. Thanks for the great mod.
