heya, been tinkering around trying to change the name of a specific planet in the strings file. changing a value in the .strings file ends up corrupting the whole thing for me tho, is there anything else i need to change besides that? thank ya

Really don't know much about the tool, I stick to my workflow and it works. Maybe the selected game is too old or the encoding is somehow wrong. Sorry that I can't be too helpful.

    Many thanks for the update...

Sadly the last Starfield update broke the mod (the "lookup" error) and I was using the Spanish optional strings so I can't use the mod for now until you upload again a Spanish version.

Could you please upload this version? I was enyoing this mod a lot.

    Thanks!

I LOVE the look of this mod but the string files played havoc with my game. I downloaded it via vortex and since having it loaded, all my weapons and armour are called "LOOKUP FAILED LOOKUP FAILED". Is there a fix/patch/known conflict?

Sadly the same thing is happening with the Star Wars planet rename mod. Im guessing all weapons are tied to their origination, especially since there are leveled weapons (or at least better versions of the same weapon, and I dont mean legendary vs purple vs rare vs common either). They dont want to give us a weapon that will kill every baddie in one hit, until later, so they have to keep things based on location perhaps. I have no idea what im talking about, just fyi.

A planet called Ea-Nasir?! That alone makes it worth a download, lol.

I hope it has copper. Really bad copper though.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, it does add a nice level of realism.  It didnt seem like much at first, but after going to multiple systems and all the planets were named the same it started to grow bothersome.  You really have to wonder wtf bethesda was doing if their claim that SF was 'mostly done' a year before launch was true.  So many details left out.

Felt the same way, whole project took me around 20 hours and I cannot fathom how BGS didn't expend that little effort to significantly improve exploration.

I don't understand... I have dropped the three files into Starfield directory (where the .exe is located) but it doesn't works, planets still have their vanilla names.
I'm playing the game in spanish, is this only working in english? If not, do I have to activate these files somehow?
Thanks and sorry if I didnt understood well.

I've uploaded a spanish version under optional files. Unzip the whole file structure into your Starfield game directory.

Wow thanks! I appreciate the effort!
I tried this version and it works but unfortunately it has many spelling errors... Like accents changed by wrong characters. For example: Constelación -> ConstelaciA3n. It doesn't affect only planet names changed by this mod but all text in the game.
I cannot play with it like that :(

Have now added it, but some systems are renamed in Spanish, so won't have the new names until I make a proper port.

Great mod, thanks for all your hard work. It's definitely more immersive and easier to remember specific planets (at least for me).

I might have missed it, but this doesn't apply to Grunt Work when the characters specifically mention Tau Ceti II, right? Like the planet name is changed, but not the references to it in the quest.

Not the voice line, but the subtitle.
