Finally I've found a mod to get rid of that annoying gimmick mechanic. Is it really that much to ask for? Wanting a gun that only shoots things and does nothing else? Without any wacky side effects?
If I wanted AoE, You'd think I'd use the ammo specifically designed to provide that AoE, right? Well, apparently Bethesda just likes flying in the face of common sense. Then again, they do love giving players the illusion of choice, don't they?
Anyways, props to you for being a better game designer than whoever came up with this wank.
Woohoo! Still working as advertised, with current game Update 1.8.88! \o/
I recently started my very first NG+ playthrough, and I figured I'd try and do this new run entirely using only Va'ruun and/or other particle beam weapons, since I never really used them during my first playthrough (and the Va'ruun weapons are hella badass)...but then I was quickly reminded why I didn't use them---that frakkin' Annihilator rounds bug-but-not-a-bug-cuz-it's-intentional-by-the-devs thing that was/is hella annoying when it hits friendlies and/or your companion, pfft. *throws chancla at Bethesda devs*
Frakkin' awesome work on this, isLazy! THANK YOU for this mod! Endorsed! ♥
This mod does not change annihilator rounds. They should function normally.
Sweet. I don't use annihilator rounds, but I want a more proper fix. Have you considered submitting this for consideration in the Starfield Community Patch?
I am going to download this as a replacement, but I am waiting for a bit to make sure all my mod dependencies are updated for 1.8.86 before I change around any installed mods.

To be clear, this isn't a bug fix. The crit kill annihilator effect is intended behaviour, I just don't like it.
Nice to see someone managed to make a propper patch for those rounds (My mod essentialy just removed it entirerly), and letting people choose what kind of rounds they wanna use (how it sould be from the start really). Great work on this.

Thanks!
It's extremely annoying. Why would anyone think this was a good idea?
