Can't wait for official tools so we can design our own bridges, I'm sure we will have some crazy 3x3x2 bridges in the future.

Now, if only someone made a mod to wipe the dirt/charred stuff from the fuselage. :) But extra weapon slots is a good start!

The burnt/charred stuff is because the Cabot was actually designed to mate up with a Large Nova Hab used for the Juno probe from the quest "Juno's Gambit".  Looks like it got grabbed and added to regular ship building when they decided they needed an advanced bridge for Nova and didn't want to create a new one.  Lazy design.

A lot of the dirt etc. in the habs is done by applying a "decal" texture.  Great for a pirate ship, but should have been removed for player ships because no one is going to buy a dirty hab for their ship with a half eaten sandwich in it.  Anyway, it might be possible to clean the Cabot by removing decals from the exterior.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, others have looked at the decal/dirt. A modder already cleaned up the dirty glass, but had difficulty finding the decal/dirt maps in question. Maybe someone will find it one day.
