This mod has been updated to Version 2.0. To update from the old version, uninstall the old mod and download the new one.
The vest now uses the mask slot and replaces the Fishworker Mask, item ID 0024ef2
Reasons for using the mask slot for Version 2.0: - Using mask slots, the vest is automatically unequipped when you wear your spacesuit with or without the helmet, unlike the hat and neuro amp slots, which will only be unequipped when wearing a helmet. - When wearing the attire, using the hat slot deforms the vanilla hair of the player character and companions. Hair mods without the morph functions appear unaffected. - The female nif files for the neuro amp don't seem to do anything. You'll need to replace the male versions to make it appear in the game. Unfortunately, like the guy in The Den, male NPCs with neuro amps will also wear the vest.
Mask slots are another matter. When I use it, there's no problem, but when I use it on a coworker, their clothes twitch weirdly whenever they talk (probably because it's a mask) Anyway, the vest is a very cool accessory and I'm using it well on my character, thanks!
Congratulations, you discovered jiggle physics! Thanks for picking up this bug feature!
On a more serious note, I don't think I can fix that for now. I can use no other clothing slots, and turning off the bones may break other things. Hence, the vest is best reserved for the player character only. I'm glad you like the vest.
Is there a way to restore the hair? Because you use the hat slot, the hair is altered to look like it is tugged under the hat. But without the hat, the person looks like she is missing hair.
Thank you. I haven't seen a single mask item. So I guess this will be fine :) When CK comes out you can create your own slot too. The "Armor Vest" slot.
How do I make my body armor different colors like you did in your screenshots? I love it but I want to get ride of the white letters at least haha. You're doing amazing work my friend, keep it up!
You can try this mod to remove the letters. You can also find a handful of retextures on Nexus or modify the DDS files yourself. The ones in the images are my retextures, which were only limited to the torso and were done for the photo session. I didn't include them with my mod because I didn't complete the recolours of the sleeves, pants, and helmets, so it'll look weird on the UC security guard uniform.
I tried that mod out and it's perfect. Thanks so much for the link! I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but how difficult would it be for your clothing mods to be based on the 50% VBB morph? I recently downloaded VBB and it looks pretty f-ing good. sabster123 has been creating some interesting outfit replacers, but this one, Sexier Operator Outfit, looks the best so far in my opinion. Just some food for thought! Thanks for all your work so far!
It's pretty straightforward, but I like to freestyle mine. There are some misconceptions about VBB:
VBB is a naked body mesh (think of it as a shape or model), not a morph. There's no morph function at all. With a few exceptions, like the swimsuit, clothing in the base game uses different meshes, so you'll no longer get your VBB body shape when you put something on. Some skimpy outfit mods use the naked body mesh, but many VBB clothing mods are just clothing meshes adjusted to match the VBB proportions. I like to retain freedom in changing the body proportions to my desired aesthetics. You can install VBB or VBB clothing mods with my mods; you'll get a different body shape when putting on my clothing.
Looks like there are more tests to do. The short-term workaround is to use a hair mod incompatible with hats, such as the one I used, link in the mod description under "Credit". The other workaround is to use the Neuro Amp or Mask slot, but the mod will need a standalone plugin because I think there are a few female NPCs with those outfits.

Sticky this so others can see...
Or can you change the slot to AMP slot?
