VORTEX USERS: Until your mod manager has been updated to properly support installing texture mods into the Documents folder, you will need to use a plugin like Baka Disable My Games Folder to coax Starfield into loading texture files from the actual game directory.
Mod Organizer 2 users can disregard this as it already supports the default installation method.
Hello! Nice mod! I'm still using it since you released it. I'd like to ask you if is it possible to improve also the lighting inside the outpost. Maybe you could do something with the external lights. Thanks again!
Not sure if anyone else has been having this issue but randomly in some instances the flashlight goes back to default but then loading into another instance it's back. Completely random.
So... trying to figure out how to install this mod manually, since Vortex didn't work. For manual installation, it says: "Manual: Open the archive and enter the Presets folder. Select your desired preset, and copy the Textures folder to Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data" Except that there is already a textures file in that directory, which would then be over-written. Also... if I had another mod later that also went into that textures directory, then what? Would the Flashlight mod be deleted? Or, did this instruction really mean: "... in the textures directory copy the effects folder into the textures directory in My Documents."?
Strange but this was working when I first placed the archive invalidation text in the custom.ini and now its not. All other texture file based mods still work.
The vanilla flashlight made my head hurt...this one has the vanilla flavor, same texture, only less headachy..thank you Doctor. You cured a huge issue with Starfield.
Thanks, love the brighter light. Just a question, if this can be done - wider light? I'd think that lights in 2300 would be able to provide better light then nowadays tiny LED flashlights, but so far they seem to be lacking in comparison :) Two to three times wider/larger light cone would be great, if it can be done without real modding tools.
EDIT: OK, saw it mentioned in an earlier comment that cannot be done yet, without modding tools. Alright then, let's hope tools will be out soon.
Hella awesome work on this, litbeep! I'm surprised (but not surprised, cuz BGS, lol) vanilla flashlight is so lackluster! This is SOOO much better!! Thank you for this!! Endorsed!!
