Oh. OK. I read it incorrectly. I thought you meant it would stop working if I used the photo mode. I use it all the time..heheh...phew!... I did all the ini adjustments days ago. I have it working and it's beautiful. I just didn't want it to stop after all it took to get it loaded properly. I added a mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1599 ) that redirects so it is downloadable from mod manager. Thank you VERY much for a beautiful redo. The black on black looks very nice!...
Guess its not exactly right place to ask, but is it possible to reskin player wearable Sarah outfit, while leaving hers own in original color(or other reskin)?
Nifscope and/or XEdit need to be updated to support Starfield first before I can do that.
I have not yet looked into Nifscope, but the early versions of XEdit for Starfield is not ready yet. It can only view the records, not edit or save them yet.
You need to disable the MOTD and delete the "Data" Folder from your "MyGames/Starfield" Folder for Loose file mods installed in the game's root Data folder to work in Starfield. But once you use photo mode it breaks them again because the photo's are stored in the "MyGames/Starfield/Data" folder.
I put the files in the correct places (the file tree looks like documents/my games/starfield/data/textures) and there's no change in game. I also tested putting the files in the actual game directory's data folder like previous BGS games did, and that didn't work either. Then I tried installing with Vortex, also no change.
I do have a starfieldcustom ini with the two lines required under archive. I think I've tried everything I should have.
Any ideas why it's not working?

something is wrong with your ini. I did mine exactly right too and it failed. Delete yours and down load the Starfield custom ini mod on nexus mods by bartmikelz. drop that in where your ini was supposed to go. It'll work for you then. whatever we were doing wrong they at least got it right lol.
Hey, maybe you could help me out. I'm making a texture replacer similar to this, and I'm having the problem of the texture looking very washed out in game, not like it does in Photoshop. Are the specific settings you need to use on the DDS files to make them play nice with Starfield? I'd appreciate the help. Thank you for your mod.
I'm Still figuring things out myself for Starfield. It might just be how the Material system translates the colors, but The raw texture file's colors are much darker and more vibrant then how it appears in game. Granted I am still using GIMP for my texture work, so the exported texture file isn't the exact same settings as the textures I extracted from the game.

Loose files mods for Starfield should be installed in a different folder then they would in past Bethesda games.

So it's not like Skyrim or fallout with every mod installed in main game folder.
Btw, thanks @ShawnPhillips, very nice colors! love it

*I was saving BC7 linear. BC7 sRGB seems to fix the issue on my end at least.
Can we get a Greaser version of this?
Black Leather Jacket
White Shirt
All Black Pants
All Black Boots
Also, thank you a bunch for this mod! <3
