any way to rip strip just the comms chatter when you arrive at locations...i cannot ever forget literal hours spent sitting in space listening to the dynamic chatter of passing freighters and armed escorts as well as faction patrols
... not asking for the actual interaction but would be cool to hear it in the systems that scan you for contraband lol...just dreamin out loud...i still have freelancer working on my gamer box lolol
I know it's a big ask and maybe not possible. But can you make a starship hud more like Freelancer? Starfield has indicators for targets but doesn't have ranges or ids for them. ...and just for giggles you should also add cardimine as an asteroid junk loot

I actually think Freelancer in a lot of ways is a better game than SF. Freelancer was amazing for its time. I REALLY wish someone would mod in the space highways between systems that the player and NPCs used in Freelancer along with all the space chatter. It was amazingly immersive. SF very barely has any of that at all.
"For it's time" Will you people stop saying this? It's STILL better than 99% of every space sim game made before or since. It isn't "of its time" unless you are alluding to the fact that 97-04 was a superior time in video games than any of the mountains of shovelware garbage that has come since
Main menu music is soundtrack from freelancer, it happened in combat and story missions! Unfortunately freelancer is so old.. i hape a cd copy at home...
Freelancer was a part of my CHILDHOOD, and this just unlocks a core memory that I forgot I had. You a REAL one for putting up this mod. I remember clocking like 3 MONTHS of collective time into this old game, filling out the entire map, finding out the best trade routes, and yes, even dabbling about with mods and MP servers. I finally stumbled on a really good Discovery RP server that sadly isn't around anymore, but this game is like GOLD to me, and is the reason I play games like Starfield. Makes me miss mindlessly flying around the Omicrons and Omegas, hoping to find aliens....
Yea man! It brings back memories! I adore this game. Also reason why I play Starfield! I remember I tried modding it once, edited some weapons etc, it was pain in the ass but I loved it lol! I remember I made a vengeance mk1 weapon that had like 100 shots per second fire rate... those were the days :D
