Downloaded to try it out. Looks like you're probably still working on getting the shielding functionality working. I endorsed anyway since having the extra cargo itself is really useful; especially on smaller ships.
Though might I suggest removing the term Shielded from the downloads until you get that working? It'd probably save you from getting inundated with a bunch of comments saying the shielding isn't working.
Also to anyone wanting to use this for the shielded aspect, simply use the mod in reverse: Put all your non contra items in the captains locker and use your standard shielded cargo for smuggling. That way you can still enjoy the mod in the meantime. Just remember to move things back into your hold if you decide to switch ships. Captain's locker cargo doesn't appear to transfer over automatically.
When I attempt to land in a controlled system it shows a 100% percent chance of detection. Should I go ahead and just attempt to land and it will be OK? Or is it still an odds based detection system?
Just tried to enter Jemison with the "0% Chance to evade scan" warning and I was caught. If my contraband is in the locker It will do this whether or not my ship has a separate shielded cargo container and whether or not my shielded cargo spoofer is installed. If I put the contraband into the normal cargo hold I have an 89% chance to evade with my spoofer.
If the scan chance is based on the % of shielded to total cargo, would this work better increasing the Captain's locker to 4000 capacity of which 400 is shielded?
There might be something going on here what i didnt anticipate. What the contraband scan usually works like is contraband total units cant be more than a certain % of total cargohold. I could try make the captains locker count as it own. Or be completely excluded from the scan.
Making the Captain's locker a scan free zone (completely excluding it) for contraband makes sense. One would still have to ensure that contraband is stored in the locker and not on your person or the the main cargo hold in order to evade scans.
Yep, i'm still working on it. Also Starborn ship is excluded. It seems like it has its own captains locker, even if it uses the same reference... Anyhoo, i've managed to join both cargo hold and captainslocker. But that kinda makes the captains locker unnecessary

But, can you give us an optinal file, with a cargohold of 20? That would in make more sense to me, bacause it allready is shielded. *Edit* Or even more options; 20, 40, 100, 500, 1000, etc
Agreed, this special capt'n's locker is truly meant to smuggle forbidden items, so thanks you made this right. On the other hand it makes the few ship outfitter useless, who sell shielded cargo bays. But i like things easy so i go WITH your mod :-)
Now, I wonder if this was the original intent of the captains' locker. Even at default size, it should be plenty big enough for smuggling those illegal items.
