Absolutely fantastic! Downloaded from Creations, works like a charm. On one hand I wish you could transfer perk progress, but on the other it forces you to carefully consider which perks to pick, so it's not overpowered in that way. Thumbs up in any case!
Out of all the mods I have installed yours by far is the #1 most important in my list.
The game feels so much more refreshing! Love being able to hyper focus say on building outposts but then be able to respec to combat when I want to switch it up.
Have you considered putting up in addition a paid version for achievement friendly status by any chance?
As I admit: if I did want to try go for a achievement friendly play-through, I would not be able to survive without your mod!
can you add a feature for your whole character skill set to be reset and all perk points readded when the player enters unity or when the players picks the dialogue option within the unity where they tell the unity they had regrets? Maybe a dialogue box shows up on new game plus after you confirm ur character's appearance/name and traits to perform a full respec? Ofc, this would mean the player level remains the same but u get all perk points back and no skill assignment? Maybe the challenges you've completed could also be unlocked but that could be asking for too much...
If you installed the mod while your save had your character in the lodge. Then you'll need to exit and re-enter for it to work. The easiest way to tell if this is the case, is whether or not the terminal "flips down" when you get near or not. If it does not then you need to exit and re-enter the area.
I'm still getting the bonuses for the Astrophysics skill (the one the reveals planet traits) and not getting the full range from the Surveying skill (hand scanner distance) after respecing the science tree.
Good catch for the first part. I had forgotten about that. When you pick up some of the skills they set a quest stage which runs a script. The stuff the script does changes things that doesn't revert when the skill is removed. I can't really undo those changes, because the quest stages cannot be set a second time. So there's not really a good solution that I can think of right now without modifying every skill to use my own quest to replicate it which can set the stages multiple times.
I suppose I should either add that to the known issues, or make it so those don't get removed. Though there's actually quite a few of them like that. So that might not be the "best" solution. The list of skills that are affected are:
As for the surveying. I'm not sure what to tell you. The mechanic for that is that when you pick the skill, it runs a quest stage which sets an actor value on the player reference. So I don't really know what to say. Unless there's something just broken with your game.
Smol suggestion: Put perk in the name somewhere so it comes up on searches. This is the best perk reset/respec mod for any Beth title by a substantial margin.
