New FOMOD installer now gives literally billions of possible combinations. You get to pick the colour and chrome look individually for the body, helmet, visor, gloves, plates amd cape!
New colour additions are yellow and (darker) orange, with all colours in either a White or Black base. Two special colours: A Yellow base with black, intended to be used with chrome/metallic options to get a Gold suit. An alternative White Orange suit, has orange on the chest, arm plates and more white suit area (a little inspired by the Martian film suit).
Chrome options allow a more customised look, from partial chrome metallic to lots of shine everywhere. The white and gold base colours will be metallic, while the black get a glossy/slight metallic look.
Enjoy.... and if you create something you don't like just reinstall the FOMOD
and if you like you can drop a picture of your cool fashion design flair
Version 1.3 This is my first FOMOD creation, so I have minimal knowledge in anything beyond the basics.
MOD ORGANISER 2 users:Version 1.3 I do not have MO2 but have made changes to hopefully fix what AuraDacella reported in a post below. Let me know if it is now working for you please.
VORTEX users:Version 1.3 You should not get the 'old' FOMOD warning anymore when first installing Testing on my install I have the files being put in the correct game folders.
You will need to get a mod that allows you to do so (makes the parts into separate pieces) such as TN's Modular Starborn Suits I mentioned it about half way down the description page, but it's best to go look at it's own mod page.
My only request, and I don't know if it would even be possible, would be a way to have different custom suits for different saves. I usually have multiple characters saved at any given time, and since I play them with different personalities I would like for each one to have their own unique suit. If this isn't possible it's cool; the mod rocks as is.
It's possible if you are happy to do a little work with file explorer... You could save a backup of the spacesuit_starborn_01 folder (and all sub folders) for each game. Then replace it prior to starting up/loading each different save game.
Create the backups of each suit style
Load up the FOMOD options for the suit for a particular save
In file explorer navigate to the game folder Data \ textures \ clothes- then make a copy of the whole spacesuit_starborn_01folder.
Save that somewhere outside the game folders to a new backup folder - in a folder named so that you recognize what save game those options are used in. eg Starborn suit backup \ {characters name} \ spacesuit_starborn_01
Repeat the process for each save game so you end up with the different suit styles in their own backup folders.
Now prior to starting up the game for a particular save game... Delete the spacesuit_starborn_01 folder in the game folder. Copy the whole spacesuit_starborn_01 folder from the named backup folder for the particular save you will be using, Paste it into the Data \ textures \ clothes folder in the game folders.
This method would mean any other mods that may touch the starborn suits texture files would also be saved across to the backups... but if you aren't changes any of those mods between saves, then when you create the backup folders they would be included in each set anyway. Becomes more difficult if you are using other mods for other types of Starborn suits that differ across saves - like if you were using my Astra/Materia mod - but you could load up the options for a particular save as well - prior to making the backup folder.
This way would save you going through the FOMOD with all the options each time you switch to a different save, (after the initial setup).
I'm not up to date with game files at present so am unable to check as I'm off playing other games...
These are only replacement texture (DDS) files (there is no coding or the like) So unless the folder structures are changed, they rename the texture files, or the nif files are modified (which help to map the texture to the 3d model) - I would think these would be extremely unlikely - then they should be fine with updates.
I'm currently not planning on creating versions for other suits.
The Bellum skin is make up from other of files from other suits Folder-wise and shared suits: The helm and plates are located in VI, the Visor is Materia, Upper and sleeves is Astra, the Cape is in Hunter, while the lower (legs) are labeled with darkboot
Similarly Gravitas is made up of Astra, Companion and the darkboot lower
Wanted to report a sequence that affected this MOD.
Last month I had issues Uninstalled starfield/deleting all associated folders and reinstalled. Your MOD was fine. I am using Vortex. After the latest update I had severe issues. Gave up. Repeat. Uninstalled Starfield, as above. This time upon checking your Mod colors were gone. I reinstalled to no avail.
I found the issue was TN's Modular Starborn Mod was below the other TN's mods. Moved the load order with TN's Modular Starborn Mod above the other TN Mods. and all the glorious colors of your mod came back. Yay. So it was a Loading Order issue, Which could happen to someone else.
I have been testing the new January Update. I wanted to post. Your MOD is still working in the Update - without SFSE or Plugin TXT, etc. (Plain Vanilla game) I was surprised and happy to see it still working for me and The Hunter. No Problems - Just the color/colours.
This mod only provides recolors of the vanilla texture files, so unless there is an update to the folders or renames of them (highly unlikely I would think) then it should be fine with updates. It installs loose files - they are not packaged into an archive as with the amount of selections possible that would be impractical to achieve.
However, if you are using a mods such as TN's Modular Starborn Suits, it may have issues with updates if the way the game handles esm plugins is messed with.
I went through NG+ and got the one where you walk into The Lodge and the Hunter is there. The Hunter was wearing your MOD clothes to match mine. LOL I sent you a Picture of it.

(sorry to bother you)
Edit: nevermind i think it was an issue with nexus, sorry about that. it's working now.
Sorry, I only have a PC, and I am not even aware of how to go about converting it over.

Yes, which ever mod (that changes the texture files for the starborn suit) that loads the last, will be the colours you will get in the game
