I just don't understand Bethesda's goal with those constant cringey companion comments, opinions and "jokes" that aren't even funny, just annoying. If their goal was to write just super annouying companions that immensely pissing off players - they 110% accomplished that goal.
I have ShutUpVasco installed, but after latest uipdate it seems to not be working. It was working before, but now he's back to talking again. I liked it so much better with him silent. I have same issue with ShutUpOmari. Both .esm files are last in my load order.
Thanks for letting me know. I don't use Vortex, but I think the last update means it doesn't need the Data folder anymore. Possible the MO2 installation would work on both, I'll test and update if that's the case.
Observation: muted people will still utter all kinds of greetings once in close proximity on a deck (cockpit and console seats etc.). This has been reduced to a slight nuisance thanks to the mod, but can you perhaps look into it so they keep their mouths shut unless spoken to? :D

I need to take a closer look at Cora, her dialogue is all over the place, but 1.2.0 will shut up everyone else that has something to say as soon as you come out of combat
It's not just about Cora. I have a Taiyo cockpit that can easily accommodate several people standing, two of them sittig left and right Star Trek style, and they ALL have somethig to say. They move around but not frequently enough. So I get Cora standing next to me, Lin sitting to the left, the other mining guy to the right. Basically the bridge is full and they keep uttering the inane stuff. They are triggered by their proximity. Cora wants to test lightspeed without "grav jump hack", Lin asks me "how do you feel cap'n" et cetera. And I can't just tell them to leave, I literally pushed Cora out of the cockpit and closed it, but these guys have no sense of personal space so they keep returning. This is truly maddening at times :D :D :D
They need to shut up unless spoken to or they have a substantial mission critical information. "Captain" once in a blue moon will suffice when I'm passing by xDDDDD
FYI: got that deprecated FOMOD message in Vortex on the new update as well. funny enough the message doesn't pop when i select Mod Organizer 2 instead. (i think they may have finally fixed that folder difference ...?)
Weird since they're literally the same file just being copied to a different place. I saw the new Vortex release announcement, I'll checkni it out and see what I can do.
Thanks for your mod. The inane chatters have been reduced quite a bit since install. I do have a suggestion/request that others may not agree with, but I kind of want them to stop telling me about their gifts. The gifts are such paltry items that I don’t bother with collecting them, but now I get companions incessantly telling me they have something for me. You leave things be a little while, and when you get on board your ship you get a chorus of companions saying they have things for me. SHUT UP!!! Anyways, I totally get if you feel you want to keep the gift chatter since it’s a game-impacting chatter, no matter how insignificant the impact may be. By all means ignore my request if that’s the case, but that’s my 2 cents.
Check out https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/5841 so the gifts are at least better than a random pile of leaves and I'll see how weird it is to get gifts without the chatter. I'm sure removing them completely is possible, but probably wouldn't belong in this mod.
Downloaded a Ship Combat mod that added EM damage to Particle weapons & I was not ready for the chaos that came in the next ship battle with the fully maxed out crew all going wild constantly talking over each other non-stop. The ShutUpInSpaceCombatEveryone sorted that for me absolute life saver cheers very much.
