If I install the optional file (the snap version), do I also need the main one installed as well? I just installed the snap version and tested it out, and the settlement gates are not showing in the builder menu at all. So now I'm wondering if I need the main file as well, or if maybe the problem you told me about on your other mod page with the 165 esm limit is somehow affecting me, even though I'm not at 165 yet. Or maybe a conflict with StarUI Outpost?
Will these snap on top/below so I can bury some to deal with elevation changes? also, can I use both snap and no-snap downloads together or will they duplicate? PS I'm so happy to see a walls mod so early! thank you! 😀
Walls are cool and all, but have you heard of Floors?
I would give my left nut to be able to put down flooring. My right one if they snapped. and don't get me started on what I'd do for a set of stairs so I could stack containers and make stairs to be able to access them.
This! This! I have stopped playing until there's a Foundations mod (which then we can put other buildings/objects on top of) which should eliminate the ground interference error when placing things, and/or the Place Anywhere mod (like in FO4). Oh, and top it off with a mod to extend the boundary. Then it might be worth building outposts.
As it stands, Outpost building is crap compared to FO4 settlements building. Just waiting for modders to fix the Bethesda mess they put out.
Edit: I did download the walls, thanks for getting these working at least. :)
Oh my, must be your lucky day guys, all your balls belong to me ;D I had working stairs 3 days ago, and made working foundations with auto-height today (two click build like hubs and airlock are bullt). I even have walls with actual windows (glass), as well as pieces with openings for doors and windows (unfilled). I did not publish yet but if you want to test go to xEdit Discord and PM me or @ me and I'll send you my latest test ESM.
I am still tweaking stuff, stairs, walls and foundations, as snapping is tricky and needs a lot of tweaking ro be user friendly. Likewise, I am still learning a lot about how SF and xEdit for SF work, there's just so much...
I will publish an ESM containing all these elements when I think I am done. That means that snapping needs to be smooth, and hopefully 45° and 90° snapping options should work for walls, and I also want some kind of roof/ceiling tiles as well. Rest is mostly working already, though I may still polish here and there as I learn about better techniques. I don't have airlocks/doors, as I am not sure how much work and learning that is so skipping it for now ;D but I want to be able to build a house on a planet with breathable atmosphere and safe water, and I want to be able to do it soon!
Anyway, catch me on Discord if you want, or PM me your mail or whatever. Cheers!
I was having the same issue with stacking storage and not being able to access, but with the Catwalks mod, it has stairs and various catwalk options. Turned out to be exactly what I needed.
Sorry, I dont want snap version to be main file. It is the same version, just one is snapable. Snapable version doesnt let you to build at an angle, and as such I dont want it as main file. Everything else is same. Sorry for confusion!
That is actually right where I put it. There's a lot of stuff in 'miscellaneous'; but not walls. I'm using the mod "More Outpost Objects". It puts a bunch in that tab.
Hey, I actually removed snap because you then cannot put 45 degree walls. They snap only to straight line, so you are limited then. I know its a little bit longer to build this way, but... if i turned on snap points then you would only be able to build in a straight line :(
That explains it. As usual can not please everyone. I actually want to make straight lines, so this with snap points would suit me fine for fencing in my settlement/s, at the moment I use containers to make a wall. Anyway, have a good one.

Yo! I released Pallisade Walls mod yesterday! So you might also like that one too!

If they are not in misc, try moving my mod to the bottom of your plugins.txt! <3

I could use some solid walls for cover.
If you can look through but not shoot through the holes these may do the job.
