It won't work for me, even though I have the latest script extender version and my other mods work fine.
Just to clarify: I tried both versions, and in both cases nothing happens. I just installed Starfield last week and everything else works fine. Game runs fine with script extender, as it shows in my logs.
I have address library as well. I'm using MO2, and this .esm mod is activated. But in game, literally nothing happens.
Terribly disappointing because this QoL mod is one I can't live without for shooters like Fallout 4.
Ok, so it turns out that your weapons don't lower if you draw while in sneak animation.
If I'm standing up, your mod functions correctly.
If I'm sneaking and I draw my weapon, your mod does not function.
However if I'm standing, draw my weapon, then go into sneak mode, my weapon stays lowered.
It just so happens that when I installed your mod, my character was in sneak mode the entire time when I saved (I was in a facility hiding from raiders.)
I think that is the mod working as intended. Anyway if you wanted to clean uninstall and reinstall make sure to deactivate the esm and delete and then make sure the Ba2 file is not present before reinstalling. I noticed that deleting creations does not delete the ba2 file. Idk why saving or installing while crouched would affect anything?
It has nothing to do with saving, I just mentioned that because I had loaded a saved while I was crouched, and have a separate mod which hides the sneak indicator for greater challenge... so I didn't realize my character was in sneak mode, or that would prevent the mod from working.
Anyways it doesn't really matter, just a minor annoyance like I said.
So I've been using the 3rd person version for a while and it works wonderfully.
But I keep on getting an error saying the quest could not be found when I try the 1st person one. Doesn't matter if I install it through vortex or if I drop the two files right into the documents/data folder. And the error notification box itself never pops up unless I use one of the console commands to set the time to lower or in combat lowering. If I don't use a console command, it just does nothing.
if you renamed the mod files, try the mod with it's original file name (not renamed). If a mod calls a function that uses the filename, then renaming prevents the mod from working. Hope it works for you, good luck!
By the way, LarannKiar, thank you so much for this mod!
Doesn't seem to be working for Melee weapons, at least in 1st Person. I tried loading it last in the Mod order, or loading just this Mod, and no matter what I do the Melee weapons are never being lowered. Works fine for Ranged weapons.
The mod works perfectly. So it's amazing. But I wonder if there's a way to make the lowered gun action into a hotkey instead? So that we can toggle between aiming mode or lowered mode?

So... yeah. Just a minor annoyance I guess.
