and maybe add this : "Companion dialogue when romantic has been changed so that it does not use the friendship dialogue." Cus thats definetly annoying to not be Sam's greatest love anymore after marriage. (i mean when not commited and you ask whats after this, he replies "nothing, i wanna be exploring .... greatest love is the next star .... except you , you are my greatest love" and then you marry the guy and the answer is the same but then without the except you part -- i get it it might be realistic that i annoy him but ... yeh ... )
Great mod! Bit of a tangent, but really stuck with tweaking on xedit, trying to change a companion's default spacesuit. Been testing with Sarah, created a new custom outfit record and assigned it to Sarah via 'SOFT Space Outfit' in 'Companion_SarahMorgan'. Not worked so far - any advice?

loving the mod so far, but have a small request..... i am also using Starfield Stalkers and Followers at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) and the companions get a bit way too close and trap me in some places quite a few times, and i usually put 4-5 more companions around to help in fights. Any easy way to increase the distance the companions will remain? Keeping them closer is nice, but they are almost "in your face" kind of close lol
If you know xEdit, you can remove the Game Settings from the plugin. Those are the settings that I've changed to make followers not lag behind. If not, let me know.
never really tried to get into modding apart from some old texture making on euro truck simulator. never did any kind of editing and not sure how to start. if you can indicate me how to, ill give it a go, otherwise the simpler answer is no :/
Download SF1Edit and extract it anywhere you like. Then open SF1Edit64.exe. Make sure that CompanionTweaks.esm is selected. Once it opens, it may take a while to finish the first time. In the lower left corner, you will see Background Loader: finished when it is ready.
Then just double click CompanionTweaks.esm to expand. Right click Game Setting and select Remove. Then save and close out of SF1Edit.
If you still need help or aren't comfortable doing this, let me know and I can send you a link to an esm with those values removed.
sorry i havent replied sooner, been a bit busy. downloaded sf1edit and ran it, but seems it looks for a windows registry key related to the game steam instal, whereas i am using the xbox pass version, and it doesnt load anything at all. any idea how to make it read xbox instal instead? this is what it shows:
Sorry, didn't realize you were on Gamepass. It's a good thing to know a little about SFEdit when modding your game, so normally I like to teach folks the basics, but I have no idea how to use it for Gamepass or even if it's possible.
no worry. would love to learn about modding, but until creation kit isnt out, i dont see much of a chance to test things on gamepass when most tools are for steam, specially sfse. Only modding i ever did was making some textures for euro truck simulator a few years back and attempting map creation for farming sim. Appreciate the modified version, thanks for the extra work. giving it a test run in the next couple hours. ^^
Hello! Not sure if it's something on my end, but the additional cut lines for the Romance don't trigger when you go from Friendship to Romance later on. However, the additional cut lines do show up if you go straight to Romance at the end of "Matters of the Hart". Other than that, everything else about this mod works as intended. Keep up the great work :)
Too bad this mod is not compatible with the French version of the game. I tried a translation with esm translator but it doesn't make any difference. I couldn't progress in Barett's quest and the romance and as soon as I deactivated the mod it worked again.
Awesome! If it's not too much can you also make an optional vers of the mod that excludes the affinity increase? I feel like the companion progression is already way too fast in the vanilla game anyway
