Every legendary effect ingame has a place to be used in a build.. just not yet. A WIP mod along with most of my other mods that changes the way things work ingame.

This so far completely changes every, give or take 1 or 2, legendary weapon effect, and rather than nerfing the good ones *coughs in One Inch Punch* I have simply buffed all the shitty ones, some completely changed, names and all. Every weapon effect now has a place, and some can even have totally new ways to play them.

This is just the beginning of a larger sister project that introduces new or altered versions of the current effects. The other mod will be called Legendary Legendaries, so far introducing a few new effects such as Chameleon that works as long as you are crouched, except in the T2 slot, and only on your spacesuit. Things like that, to change up builds.

Back to this mod though, for starters, DoT abilities such as corrosive and lacerating have been uniquely modified to each have a niche use, and all have been nerf'd per stack by a lot. Notice I say per stack. You're welcome. These DoT effects now scale highly into endgame even with starting gear. You can take a lvl 1 Grendel and eat lvl 100 enemies. Not eat, but kill. You can kill them. Well. But this is based off stacks of DoT, so fully automatic weapons will easily outpace semi auto weapons in this aspect. Shotguns still proc per hit of each pellet, they are great. Here is a list of the way things work now:

Incendiary: Now procs at a 10% rate and stacks. Causes the target afflicted to flee. One of the higher damage potentials since its fucking fire and fire kills shit good. Resisted by energy DR. Takes a tiny bit of flat health from the enemy on proc to increase dps. Does much less damage to robots. Doesn't cause them to flee either.

Corrosive: Now lasts only a few seconds per proc, but takes a larger amount of flat health damage than fire does. Corrosive bullets huh, that oughta do a lot of damage right? Yes. Yes it fucking does. This is hardly a damage over time and moreso a huge dps buff. It is resisted by energy DR but takes flat health damage per proc, which it does a lot. Some of you will use this just to each tanky enemies with a minigun. Also slows enemies by 25% for 2 seconds per proc.

Poison:  Now works totally differently. Rather than poisonous rounds, your gun is enhanced with nanotoxin rounds that spread in a small AOE and they can be seen in a similar affect to annihilator rounds. The crowd control potential is unmatched. The damage stacking is decent, but you will definitely not be coming to this for individual damage, it works great, but spreads in a 3 meter AOE from the afflicted target. Resisted by energy DR. Not every stack will work on robots, only 1 or 2 of the total 6 ish. It might be nanotech, but it is still a toxin. Removed ability for some enemies to be immune to it. Are snakes immune to other snake or wasp venom? Nope. Can scorpions kill themselves if they sting themselves? Yup.

Lacerate: Now stacks bleed. Does middle tier amounts of damage. Nothing necessarily unique about this. Can be combined with Elemental to royally fuck stuff pretty fast, or from a distance slowly. Last awhile. WIP effect that needs a niche still. Maybe a stagger or knockdown?

Furious: Now works similarly to Destiny 2's Lucky Pants exotic. Continued fire on the same enemy scales the damage up based on a flat scalar of 1.5x up to 7x for an almost 12x bonus in damage, stay on target, soldier.

Staggering: Simply a 15% chance to proc per hit.

Radioactive: 33% chance to proc. Minor changes to this along with everything else under the hood.

Crippling: Reduce target's DR by 15%, increase damage dealt on next shot by 30%, increase firerate by 10% and increase outgoing limb damage by 25%. Chance to stagger enemies now.

Cornered: Renamed to Bloodied like in previous games. Damage now highly increased in later tiers of health drop. Up to 2x damage when less than 10% health.

Shattering: Now a 5% bonus in damage down from 15% and a 66% DR reduction in target up from like 25% or something.

One Inch Punch: Range is capped between 10m and 20m. Still completely viable.

Space Adept: +50% damage, +25% firerate and reload speed while in space. Removed any land oriented ailments. Just a flat buff.

Explosive: Now works differently than it used to. Fires explosive slugs that stagger enemies and increase your damage by 3x. Can only fire 1 time per second. 100% chance to proc so your gun now works like this while using this legendary.

Oxygenated: Now called Deadeye, a sniper oriented enhancement. Might add DR bypass as well in the future. Holding breath while aiming with a scoped weapon uses 50% less oxygen and increases DR by 25% while reducing your target's DR by 25%. Reduces spread completely while scoped. Adds a flat bonus to range by 50 points, with or without aiming.

Concussive: 5% chance to knock down targets. Nothing really changed. Shits broken.

Demoralizing AND Frenzy: 10% chance to spread a (neurobug/neurotoxin) that (terrifies/frenzies) targets for 10 minutes on hit. Now works for literally 10 minutes on proc. Might make an AOE like poison later on. Can now actually have a reason to run this.

Rapid: +33% increase in attack speed. 5% chance to cause a small stagger per hit. Small but noticeable buff.

Bashing: Deals double damage when gun bashing. Guarantees a medium stagger on hit. Can staggerlock now.

Anti Personnel: "Reduce human DR by 15% and do 15% more damage to them as a gift for turning on your own kind." Small but noticeable buff.

Med Theft: 25% chance up from 5% on human enemy death for them to drop up to 3 separate counts of med packs, very uncommon but still a huge increase, worth using now if necessary.

Exterminator AND Disassembler: +50% damage and +50% DR bypass against (aliens/robots). Definitely good when needed.

Skip Shot: Renamed to 5kip 5hot cause I'm funny as fuck. Every fifth shot fires five projectiles at once instead of the previous every 4 shots fires 2 at once. Excellent at proc'ing elementals and bleed or Furious. Trust me, you can make builds and shit now.

Elemental: Had to be nerf'd like 4 times cause the shit was so broken when I first changed it. Takes corrosive, poison, incendiary, the new forms, and I guess radioactive or whatever, and lets you proc them all at once if lucky, and they still stack, just not as heavily as the single form, and does not stack with the single form. Very fucking nasty with full auto weapons. Still has built in slow, fleeing, health chip damage, and DoT damages. 15% chance to proc each one per hit.

Tesla: 35% chance to drop the shit. Great all around bonus to dps or crowd control.

Will be finishing up this section of the overhaul then will be headed into armor legendaries. Enjoy for now. Better to release it half finished than not at all. All weapons are done. Keep an eye out for my Legendary Legendaries mod.
