Esm plugins to replace the Explorer spacesuit and helmet with the Starborn spacesuit and helmet. I'll be doing most versions of the Starborn suit, although probably not with the sack, oops I mean cape :D

This mod only works properly on new Explorer suits, any currently owned Explorer suits will have an issue with increased O2 usage when
sprinting
, so ideally sell off any currently owned Explorer suits to be safe and avoid confusion. If you want a quick and easy replacement suit then use the console command player.additem 002265AF, if you want the helmet then use the same command and replace the item id with 00169F50.

I've enabled boostpack mods for the suit at the workbench in update 1.2. The changing of boostpack type (power, skip etc) won't work properly on suits spawned with earlier versions of the mod unfortunately, this is due to the boostpack enchantment applied to the suit, so stick to the balanced boostpack the suit came with to avoid issues if using a suit obtained while an earlier version of this mod was installed.

This is basically a model swap with the boostpack added to the suit and the few adjustments listed below. It's still called Explorer, I haven't changed the name of the suit, although I am thinking about it :) It will still start appearing in game when the Explorer normally does and should appear in all the rarities and qualities it did before. It can be modded at the workbench, unlike the normal Starborn suit, and the helmet is removable, also unlike the normal Starborn suit. When using the workbench and looking in your inventory the helmet model seen will be the basic Starborn helmet (Astra), this is because there are not workbench/inventory models for all the different variants.

The suit has a built in boostpack so I haven't touched the Explorer boostpack. I've adjusted the armor stats/weight of the suit and helmet to balance for not wearing a seperate boostpack, I basically took the stats/weight of the boostpack and split them between the suit and helmet (with a bias towards the suit) and added them to the standard Explorer stats for the suit and helmet, I did the same with the value so they're worth a little more for the improved specs. The environmental hazard protection has also been increased.

As it's early days for Starfield modding and xedit is still an experimental version these esm's should also be considered experimental, make sure you take a back up of your saves just in case and use at your own risk.

Install as you would any other esm mod, If you haven't modded your game yet then check out one of the many guides available on how to enable modding for your game. You'll need Plugins.txt Enabler if you haven't got it already, don't use sTestFile in your ini's to load plugins. Added an AIO fomod installer for mod managers, tested with MO2 but should work fine for Vortex users using the latest Starfield Vortex Extension.

Usual rules apply regarding uninstalling plugins and messing with load orders mid game, don't do it unless you want to risk issues and corrupted saves. Although swapping out one of these Explorer replacer plugins for a different version (eg. Avitus for Tenebris) is probably ok as long as load order doesn't change, probably ;)
