Update v. 2.0 - ESM file that only edits one record: ShipServices_TEMPLATE, adding all the part unlock keywords to the template.
This automatically unlocks all parts at all ship vendors, including the outpost ship builder at any outpost, without editing the individual NPC vendor records themselves, thus greatly reducing any potential conflicts.
Optional version ESM file includes Starstation parts.
Bat file version is now obsolete, and all issues are fixed in version 2.0.
question, what should i write in the plugins.txt file?? like loads of mods are missing to say down what to write there, or am i just stupid and is it written down in some file?
Is there something special to do more to activate the mod ? I just simply putted the esm in my Data folder and added it in my plugins.txt but in the game all parts are still blocked despite I'm lvl4 in ships enginering. Do I have to type something in console ?
The parts are all still level gated, but there's nothing else you should need to do to activate the mod. I assume you're running other mods and have the necessary changes in your INI file.
Have you tried multiple vendors, and changing locations? The game is weird sometimes.
Yep I'm running other mods and I update my plugins.txt at every new mod installed. Actually I'm now lvl 40 and vendors have only their vanilla parts for selling. I don't remember if I've downloaded this mod before or after starting a "basic" new game, so maybe I'll need the reach a NG+ to make it works ?
"Install as you would currently for ESM files" lets assume I've never done this, I used google and all I found was a bunch of nonsense about downloading a mod manager and some download for reading ESM files. I used Vortex and it is not working. Is there a proper tutorial somewhere that isn't packed full of garbage on how exactly this is done?
EDIT: nevermind, I found another mod that explained editing the starfieldcustom.ini file, that's all that was left. why isn't this stuff easier to find?
You also should get the plugins.txt enabler mod here: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4157?tab=description . Should there be a primer? maybe. This is all community driven and documentation takes time...and will....lots of will. Once you learn, are you volunteering to write up a Intro FAQ? Are you then willing to answer questions everyday, be vilified when you have a life and do not answer right away, ask for incessant changes that are only really for a very tiny minority of the actual userbase, get accused of destroying a save game on a level akin to murder....
And this was when I was writing up documentation for a past Bethesda game. Let alone my poor poor foray into actual modding during Oblivion.
Unfortunately outpost builder doesn't work for me also. Although it says "invalid reference", it works on ship vendors, at least the ones I've checked.
Same on 11/8 i tried to use this and it doesn't work at outpost landing pad with ship builder, but seems to work in new atlantis fine. Also for those who want to keep spacestation parts, you can just edit his .txt file it should be pretty obvious if you look at it for 2 seconds what you need to do and there aren't that many lines of code text to adjust just don't typo
I load up the ESM Explorer, and the only entry I can find in the NPC_ field is the Outpost. I otherwise have the following list, as of current Vanilla Game Version/Time of Post: 0005C81C - ShipServices_NewAtlantis 00064EE9 - ShipServices_RHQ 000D87A4 - ShipServices_EleosRetreat 00146DCA - ShipServices_NewHomestead 0015CF3D - ShipServices_Gagarin 0015D3C6 - ShipServices_Paradiso 001F8FC7 - ShipServices_TEMPLATE 001FE736 - ShipServices_HopeTown 00206704 - ShipServices_Cydonia 002A0E9F - ShipServices_TheClinic 002A0EA0 - ShipServices_TheDen 002A0EA1 - ShipServices_AkilaCity 002A0EA3 - ShipServices_Neon
I don't know why the author calls them "satellite" parts, but looking at the file, it removes the following keywords: 1D2072VendorSM_Starstation 10C4ABVendorSM_CrimsonFleet_BlackMarket
Essentially it's removing the starstation parts, which is in line with other mods that Nexus is already full of. The difference compared to other mods with this one is removing CrimsonFleet parts, which are btw functioning completely fine as an applied keyword and won't affect your game negatively, atleast according to my experience aswell as the experiences I've observed among other ship part mods' users.
Aren't otherwise useful for who? You maybe? I hard disagree, you are saying my bat mod is useless & the parts it unlocks are useless haha, again I hard disagree! see image below for an example of the might of "Starstation" parts!
Impossible to make this intricate monster of mine without "Starstation" parts, have a nice day
Chill bro, I just wanted a parts unlock mod that didn't include those parts and I couldn't find one, and I figured there were other people that wanted the same thing, so I made one.
I'm sure there are still plenty of people that want those parts.
I've used another mod that does more or less the same thing, but most components were still level-locked (e.g. weapons, reactors, engines) - does the same apply here, and if so, could that be changed with an optional bat?
(level 62 right now with no old saves so I can't really check it myself)
ye, hence why I'm mentioning being level 62 - so I can't really check whether stuff is locked but would like to know for when I decide to make a new character and start from level 1.

So....uh...that's why you dont find tutorials.

Edit: Given the number of people citing that the Outpost Vendor doesn't seem to be working, maybe none of the NPC_ field ones do?
ive tried finding one that only does starstation and havent found one yet
1D2072VendorSM_Starstation
10C4ABVendorSM_CrimsonFleet_BlackMarket

@Teo - my bad, didn't mean to get rid of the Crimson Fleet parts. Fixed in update.

Both mods are brilliant, and now there is a choice between "Do you want X or X+Y".
I also appreciate the updated description regarding level lock.
