In terms of balance, the best version of a mod like this would add +10 levels times your new game plus amount to every system level. So new game plus 2, for example, would add 20 levels. New game plus 5 would add 50. Etc. And it would obviously cap off at level 99.
Can anyone confirm this mod actually works? I tried manually editing the Star System levels myself (as shown in the mod screenshots) and it had no effect on the enemies. I think that number on the starmap is just a visual reference for the player, it has no effect on the actual enemies.
To change enemy levels you have to edit the leveled lists.
Yes please. I have no interest in NG+, but I'd sure love to "uncap" enemy levels. I'm so tired of being sent to places that are 40 levels lower than I am and the "elite" enemies there run away screaming "this is hopeless".
Would it be possible to have the game do level banding? So enemies spawn at the same level as the player or in a level range of +/- 10 levels, not 40 levels below.
I wasn't aware that there were level ranges for each star system and did hang out for way too long in the starting area of the game just messing around in the sandbox all day every day, i did the same thing in Diablo 4, seems to just be a weird habbit of mine to ignore the main quest and just soak in the atmosphere and gameplay loop... but it gets really annoying when you notice you still have to do a bunch of story quests and they are full of low level enemies so you just aren't challenged at all.
(not to mention that low level enemies also drop low level loot which makes it even more annoying)...
Lol I advise to implementing an config ini so the mod reads from there so people can give a min level to their desire... If that's even possible Idk, but great mod !
If I recall correctly, the way levelled enemy spawning worked in previous Beth games was that the game would create one or two enemies that had extra abilities and no level cap - bosses - then a bunch of low level enemies - fodder - and a couple enemies somewhere in between. It might be that enemy ship spawning works similarly, but since most ship encounters are with 1-3 ships, you rarely see the boss tier ships.

Enemies seem to cap at 94/98. Just put in a crazy value like 999.

Would absolutely love planets to scale to my level as much as possible.
