For those who don't like videos: SOT.ba2 goes into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data Download the Starfield.ini i have in the files and place it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield
In my testing i found the version that includes the downscaling of clothing to give me 4-5 more fps in ships, cities, and so on.. On planet surfaces it's worse. So, if you're okay with striped clothing looking a little weird from afar, i recommend you use that for the best performance in buildings or ships.
Great mod! in combination with other performance mods and engine optimizations, Starfield is mostly playable now on an RTX 4080 at 4K. Too bad Bethesda didn't optimize their game engine properly.
this mod was causing huge FPS drops when i opened up the ingame menu using TAB. the fps dropped to 20 and remained at 20 for the rest of the game. without the mod the fps drops to 20 but goes back up to 80 after a few seconds of closing the menu
edit: this is not true. 60 fps recepticle was conflicting with the delayed menu mod.
do not watch the video, just read the description, do as instructed there, author already put the name of this mod in the end of index line, so just copy paste and copy paste, thats it.
the instruction video is out of data, looks like whole different thing .
Please make a video specifically how to install this mod, I've watched your video and dont understand, I dont know what to type in the ini for this mod to work
So yeah, it seems broken now. I have this mod in order after Performance Texture Pack - AIO, I can assure that something is wrong. I'm again experiencing the delay in loading textures after closing the inventory, like in the vanilla game before v1.8.86 patch.

check under [Archive]:
sResourceIndexFileList= *at the end of that line* if the texture file is still there, after the patch...
, SOT.ba2
example:
sResourceIndexFileList= ***some texture files***, Starfield - TexturesPatch.ba2, SOT.ba2
I created a file where I record all the changes to the starfield.ini file just in case a patch overwrites it (or when checking files through Steam).

This fixes those grainy garbage textures! You're a legend.
